What Cube to Buy?

I know this probably gets asked a ton, but I always get conflicting responses from the general internet so I was hoping someone could help me out.

I've been cubing for a couple months, and I average ≈28 seconds. I know somewhat decent F2L, 90% of the PLLs (I'm working on it), and full 2-Look OLL. Obviously I do CFOP method. I already have a stickerless YJ Yulong and a stickered Moyu Weilong and Dayan Zhanchi. I was thinking about Aolong V2 or maybe a HuaLong.

Oddly enough, in addition to that I'm also looking for the quietest cube I can buy, regardless of how slow it is. For that I'm thinking maybe GhostHand?

guangyings and 356's are quiet I know from experience but others I'm not sure

also the times you get don't correlate to what cube you should get, any cube is fit for any speedcuber it just depends on feel/cosmetics/preferences

Hello people!

I am about to buy a stickerless 4x4 and I had Aosu in my mind. Though, after owning an aolong v2 3x3, I had to replace it with a Hualong due to the annoying slowiness of the aolong. So the fear that the Aosu (as the Ao- suggest the same cube family) will be slow, triggered my mind. Of course my cubes are lubed carefully and well broken in.

Is the above fear true? Are there any other stickerless 4x4s that decentrly prevent locking and are considerably faster?

As far as 4x4 goes it is plenty fast. You won't find a 4x4 that is as fast as a 3x3. On that note I am giving away an AoSu right now https://youtu.be/tv3EUGRLggk

Well I know from experience that Hualong is a very fast turning cube, Actually after tensioning and lubing it was so fast I almost had no control, after a while you get used to it and it becomes very stable and actually a very good cube. My only issue is I don't like moyu's shade of yellow, I don't really know why. BUT I recently bought a stickerless New Island Phoenix, and that actually replaced my Hualong. I have also heard the New Island Lighting is even BETTER than the Phoenix which makes me a little sad that I didn't wait a little bit longer, the unboxing experience is A+ and the shades are pretty standard. A lot of people say they are basically rebranded QiYi cubes but I feel like New Island did it better than QiYi did anyway so that complaint, if it is true, doesn't apply to me really. Don't disclude New Island from your options though as They have good reviews and I also agree they are pretty good.

So I got a hualong a few months ago, and it seems to get worst and worst the more I use it. In the first month it felt like "WAAAT OMMGGZ THIS IS SOOO FAZZT" and soon later it turned to "....it's a pretty good cube", and a couple months later that turned to "meh" and now it's hardly usable.

So is there a cube that is pretty fast and also lasts a long time (The cube doesn't get worst as you break it in?) .

Try cleaning out and relubing.

New Island and QiYi are so loud.

Cubers who have the YueYing and the MeiYing: what's the difference, and which do you prefer? I just got the MeiYing and it's great, but think I might get the YueYing for comparison.

(Also people who have the CB 4x4, how do you like it?)

Time will tell but so far I really like it. Possibly more so than the YuXin which is my current main. It definitely has less internal catching than either the AoSu or the YuXin which is my main gripe with those cubes but it's a tad more blocky so it doesn't cut quite as well. I'm not sure if that will be an issue. The speed is really nice, too. Convinsa has a good review on it now:

Thanks! Don't know why but I figured Convinsa didn't have a video on it. Looks promising like the 5x5, definitely giving it a shot!

The YueYing is more controllable and less "Flex-y." The pieces of the YueYing are caps and can come apart but a little glue works well to hold it together. The caps make the cube very loud. I have used both as my main but stick tot he MeiYing now.

a lot of ppl like the yuhu
but is the dayan still king for megaminx?

It is way too early to tell. I don't think the YuHu will be replacing everyone's DaYan but it is a nice puzzle.
