Skewb technically only needs one alg to solve (Sarah's beginners). Even then, all the "algs" in Intermediate and Advanced are just combinations of sledgehammers, hedgeslammers and rotations, though I doubt you would want to learn advanced if it is just for fun. And get the Moyu (though some people will say that Shengshou is better, I disagree)

And the Crazy Yileng is not the Fisher Cube. That being said though, I can't seem to find any Fisher cubes besides mefferts. And anyway, the Crazy Yileng is very similar so it is probably just as fun. (I don't have either of them so this is just my opinion)

I believe there is a yj fisher cube, that is priced decently, have not tried it. Will buy one soon though.

Guhong V2> V1 If you have access to both of them.

The feel of the guhong is way better than the zhanchi. The zhanchi to me is a bit too smooth and unstable

Yeah. In fact, I think the 6x6 WR was broken with a modded cube.

does modding (florian) just help with corner cutting or with other things

so aoshi vs modded ss 6x6 which is better
huachang vs aochang vs ss 5x5 modded which is better

Looking for some suggestions to add some variety to my small collection. Currently own a Aolong V2, Gans 357, Hualong, and Gualong. Was thinking maybe shengshou aurora (heard its super quiet and smooth) and either a funs or dayan 3x3. Thanks for any help! :)

I strongly agree! I have Dayan GuHong V1 and Dayan GuHong V2, And I'm Amazed of the smooth, cilcky/grumpy feel it has! By far the only cube with the same feeling. I recently lubed it, and it has a speed, a bit like a zanchi, but has the stableness, and the nice, clicky, and stable feeling. I suggest buying a Dayan GuHong V2 right away :)

Which should I get, the Fisher Cube or the Crazy Fisher Cube?

The Moyu Crazy Fisher / Yileng looks like good quality and more fun than a standard fisher cube because of the non-orthogonal cuts that make it deform in very awkward shapes. I'm planning on buying one myself and I just checked that TheCubicle.com even has replacement stickers custom cut for this puzzle. My only fear is that once I enter the "collectible cube" arena I cannot stop and start buying all sorts of puzzles. Also the LanLan Rex, the CurvyCopters, the skewb variants... look so nice :) Not to talk about miror and ghost cubes...

A mirror cube is only like $4, a great item for the collection!

I was about to say just that! You start with a $4 mirror cube, then you continue with a Meffert's Ghost which is like $38 and end up with Traiphum's hand-made cuboids that cost like $200-$400. That's how it all starts :)

One of the reasons why I don't have a single non-WCA puzzle:)
