[Help Thread] Puzzle Choice Thread

Ok need a new main I've had a stickerless zhanchi for 3 years now. My pb is 24seconds. I average 35 seconds what should I get, I was thinking yueying or hualong but I don't know. What do you recommend.

I'm deciding between an aolong and a zhanchi, and my fingers terrorize stickers so the deciding point will be tiles. I want to know if cubesmith tiles fit on the aolong as I've already seen pics of them on a zhanchi.

MoYu stickers are very good quality and (almost) never get scratched, ripped, or moved. (The MoYu logo is bad quality though and gradually disappears.)

Dayan stickers, however, are very easy to ruin, and my Dayan ZhanChi began to look very used only a few weeks after using it.

I don't think you'll need tiles if you get a MoYu cube, but you decide; I can't help you with your Cubesmith question, though.

The MoYu stickers are remarkably durable, especially with the newer adhesive. For a while there they used a slightly gummier glue that allowed the stickers to shift a bit when the cube got warm. I just wish the blue/green shades worked for me so I wouldn't have to replace them. :(
 
Best New 3x3 Speedcube

Hey,

I haven't been cubing for too long. I'm close to around 9 months now. Im not too fast in 3x3 at sub-25.
There have been a lot of new speedcubes that have come into the market recently and I would like to know which is the best.
Many people have the same question.
The cubes we will be considering are- Moyu Hualong, Gans 356 & Fangshi Guanying

The Gans is supposed to have a nice feel. It cuts enough and is decently fast. It can be corrected by modding it to reduce lock ups.
The Hualong is plenty fast and cuts more than enough.
The Guanying is even faster but lacks corner cutting.

These are the conclusions I've made.

Also the rumored Aolong v3 has an very interesting cap structure. It could be the dawn of legal stickerless. However, it's mechanism doesnt look too different from the current aolongs.

I am in the position to buy one of these 3x3s (including the v3 when it eventually releases). Which would be the best purchase?

what cube that have really nice m slices, and quieter or same as sulong? i like sulong but its a bit slow for me and very blocky

i heard aolong feels like the cube is vibrating when doing solve, and feliks said its slow. is that true? i had a yulong before, and its vibrating, and i dont like that.
note that here i can only buy aolong v2, mini aolong, weilong, zhanchi, guhong v2, shuangren

go for a weilong. the aolong is slow and i couldn't sub 12 with it for some reason. why can't you buy other cubes? I've heard great things about the Liying and the Yueying.

Strange thing, but I also found the Aolong (v1) "slow", compared to other cubes. Wonder how Feliks was able to do 4s, 5s and 6s with it. Never tried to lube it with really runny silicone oil, though.

Almost any new cube will be great so, it all depends on what you're looking for? Did you like the Zhanchi? What did you like / didn't like about it?

Zhanchi was ok for my first speed cube but I hate it now to blocky and kinda slow :/ and thanks :)
 
Ive stopped cubing for a few years now but I'm thinking about getting a new speedcube. When I stopped the zhanchi was the best cube and that's what I had. My favorite feel was the lingyun. What's a good cube with a similar feel?
