What cube should I get?

This is my first thread
I just need advice on deciding what speedcube to get, this will be my first speedcube.
My PB is 40.7 seconds using F2l and 4lll

I've been looking at the zhanchi, right now i just have rubiks brand :(

Thanks

Sorry if this has been asked before, I'm new

Thanks, im just between aolong and zhanchi :)

I have a Zhanchi, Aolong, and Weilong. I greatly prefer the Weilong and Aolong to the Zhanchi. I would go with Aolong though. I would go with a Weilong. It still feels a bit more stable and will help keep accurate turning.

I would almost say it is a perfect balance between an Aolong and Zhanchi. I also use a mini Weilong because I like the feel of the smaller cube.

The reason im considering the zhanchi over aolong is because it was the first speedcube ive ever heard of and i like the way it looks over the aolong.
Also, I head the aolong was a bit uncontrollable unless ur fast

Don't listen to the "too fast". It is fine. Zhanchi is not bad, but I feel that you would just replace it with a WeiLong or something better soon after.

Alternative to Weilong v2

I recently bought a stickerless Weilong v2. It's a great cube. Turns fast and smooth, corner cuts much better than anything else I have used, but it corner twists loads. I have had a Gans357 and I have never had a corner twist from it. With the Weilong v2 it corner twists at least once pretty much every ao12.

Is there a new cube which has a similar feel and corner cutting capabilities to the Weilong v2, but doesn't corner twist?

Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. Is that from personal experience?
Even if it isnt, the hualong is the true weilong V3 and is based on it with slot mods to the corner (hollowing out the ledges and making it squarer) to prevent corner twists. I think cubeologist showed that it takes quite a bit of effort to twist a corner.

I wouldnt bother with a new cube if I were you, at your current stage 90% of your improvement will come from practice, I doubt your cube is holding you back.

I think that depends. My first cube was a GuHong V2, but I didn't have any lube. It was ridiculously dry and dusty out of the box, but still fast-ish. I averaged 1:20 but increased to 58sec and beyond when I started trying different cubes.

Perhaps you have it on very loose tensions. Weilong v2 (at least the stickered version v2 that I have) don't particularly corner-twist too much (not as much as the Aolong, for example).

If your WeiLong is corner twisting, your tensions are too loose. Tightening up the screws just a quarter turn can fix that without adding drag or reducing the corner cutting.

Thanks for all the replies. I'll try tightening it a little bit before I buy anything else.
