I've always used 55mm 333 cubes and now I'm looking for a new main to replace the 55mm Zhanchi I'm using, but I haven't kept track of all the releases since almost a year ago, so I have no idea what's on the market right now..
What are the ~55mm 333 cubes currently in production? Which one do you personally recommend?

Mini AoLong's pretty popular with a lot of cubers ATM. 54.5mm IIRC.

I think you do want the shengshou. You could possibly get it from the cubicle or icm or e3c with some thick lube to slow it down accordingly. The aochuang is a bit fast and you don't want to risk developing bad habits especially if you are looking to speedsolve.

@Gallifrey the SS should be good, as long as you're willing to mod it.

since he's a beginner, he wouldn't be turning it fast, therefore uncontrollable doesn't really do much to him.
plus he also said that "I won't have to get a new one when I get faster".. I mean SS is relatively good as well but, if you want to mod it, means you have to spend money again to do it. AoChuang itself has it all already

What? All modding takes is some sandpaper, which almost everyone has in their house.

It doesn't matter what speed he turns at, the Aochuang is hard to control and I would not recommend it for beginners. You don't recommend Weilongs or Aolongs for beginners for the same reason.

Not really the shipping takes like 1 month or longer and sometimes gets orders mixed up. I ordered from Aliexpress almost 2 years ago with an order of a white SS 4x4, white mini Zhanchi 42mm, black dayan megaminx, and a white whittwo v1. But a month later when I opened the box the puzzles that I got where a black SS 4x4, stickerless 42mm Zhanchi, black Dayan Megaminx, and a white WitTwo v1.

A cube with little to no lock ups, a buttery feel, no corner twisting problems, and no pops? If you're about to say "Weilong," I guess I've been handling mine the wrong way or something.. Heh..
