I was looking for a good 4x4x4. i met a guy who had a 4x4 that i really liked. it was kinda smaller than what i normally have seen in a 4x4. does anyone know what brand/type of 4x4 it would be?

Get a Dayan Zhanchi they are super fast and super cheap. Amazon.com has great deals.




Normal Zhanchi size is 57 mm.

I just got my zhanchi in the mail today, I got the white one and its messing with my color recognition

i want a cube that can cut corners well, doesnt lock up much, and is smooth. id prefer if it was smooth although i dont mind "choppy i guess?" thanks in advance

edit: also doesnt pop very often even at a mid-highish tension

Go for the 55mm dayan zhanchi. Mine is much smoother and quieter than my guhong v2. The guhong v1 is also probably a good choice; however, it doesn't have torpedoes, (which if you don't know are pieces in the cube that prevent popping) which means that you will have a greater chance of popping it than a 55mm zhanchi.

The Guhong v1 is smooth, cuts corners, and doesn't make noise, its the best cube that fits your description.

It's good but there are others
50mm zhanchi
mini dianshing
mini QJ
micro Alpha
Mini type c
and some others but overall go with the 50mm or 42mm zhanchi just depending on what you need the cube for.

Theres the new witeden 4x4 thats 46mm smaller then a standard 3x3.

I saw that one, but the one I saw was about the size of a 3x3 maybe. I think he said maru maybe? Idk. I'll check that one out though, thanks.

a shengshou is only 3 mm larger than a zhanchi (whereas other 4x4s are 9 mm larger), so it could be what you saw. Shengshous are also very good, I highly recommend them.

For anyone who have both of lingyun I and lingyun II

In your opinion, which is faster and better between lingyun I with torpedoes and lingyun II with torpedoes?

And also which is faster and better between both of them without torpedoes?

You can mention it's turning, which is smoother, pops, corner cutting, etc.

I have heard the ShenShou big cubes are really good for speedcubing.
As for the 4x4x6, it sounds like great fun. In my opinion these would be the two best choices.
