~Cues the MAX Fleet~
Don't get me wrong I'm a big fan of the MAX lubes, but they have their place as being something like celeritas or the other angstrom lubes. What I like about DNM so much is that it only changes the speed. Fleet is a great lube but you can't just throw it in any cube to speed it up like DNM without the cube becoming over lubed or making the feel different. If you are going to use Fleet or Command, or any specialty lube really, you should clean it out first since the lube inside could react with the new lube in a way that could ruin the feel of your cube. But I would highly recommend the Max or Angstrom line of lubes as well. Just make sure you know how to use the lubes, especially the angstrom lube.

Is it okay to take apart a Gan 354 and wash all the lube off with running water then dry them for a day? Seems like it was better without.

Use a paper towel. Water in the long run just ruins future lubes. Not to mention, it gets inside the pieces.

Max Command, I recommend disassembling the hardware, and applying a tiny drop to the centre piece hole, the base of the spring, and the underside of the screw. For Silk, put a drop in the tracks and wide bits, for DNM, a drop anywhere, and Max Fleet, squeeze out a little onto anywhere. You can always add more lube, but you can’t effectively get rid of it, so one small bit at a time. You can also put Silk in the core, and Max Command on the pieces (for slowing down Max Fleet’s speed)
Wdym by base of the spring?

Oh, you’re using a Gan X. Well, there aren’t any metal parts in the Gan X, so friction will be pretty low anyway. If you open up the centre cap, and take off the GES, there will be a hole for the core to stick through. I suggest maybe not lubing the X’s core, if you do, put some inside the GES (spring). The wide bit just means the area with the magnet on the edge, sorry for not being clear.
For MAX Command:

Do about 2-3 solves with just the MAX Command. For MAX Fleet, just take out an edge and a corner piece, then put some on the pieces that are exposed. (Be careful, it comes out very fast!) Put the 2 pieces back in and break that in with another 2-3 solves. Then, you can put 1-3 drops of each DNM-37 and Silk in different parts of the cube without taking out any pieces. You have a fully lubed Gan X!

(I have a Gan X that I lubed the exact same way, minus the Silk, and the cube is very fast, but still controllable, and crazy quiet. I did the same thing on my Valk 2 M.)
Ok I lubed it like this, and I'm wondering how long I should expect break-in to take. Put pretty moderate amounts of everything.
