I personally prefer The Cubicle's lubes. The max lube that they came out with is really fantastic. DNM is probably my favorite lube ever and makes your cubes super fast. Dignitas and Gravitas are also great lubes but they are a lot harder to use. If you want a silicone lube then just get Traxxas diff oil. You can find a pack of 10k 30k and 50k on amazon for like 25 dollars free shipping. Each bottle is 50 ml so you can get 150 ml of lube for the price of like 20ml from a place like The Cubicle or speedcubeshop. Silicone lube can get you pretty far but if you want some specialty lube get Lubicle Speedy, DNM, and Mystic. All of these lubes make your cube faster and if you use only silicon lubes its hard to get your cube fast right away. If you want to go the extra mile also get Dignitas and Gravitas, they are worth their weight in gold.

I like the Cubicle lubes a lot better. My favorite is silk, it just makes your puzzles so silky smooth, and speeds them up a little as well. Goes great with DNM, which is another thing I like about Cubicle lubes. They are very compatible with one another, and also are very good in almost all puzzles.

Okay, so I've talked about this before on this thread, but I have a new question: I have these three lubes I know I'm going to get:
1. MAX Fleet
2. MAX Command
3. Silk
Whenever I see anyone use MAX lubes, though, they use DNM-37, too. Is there anything that DNM-37 offers that MAX lubes don't?

I have MAX Fleet and Command, and when combined with DNM, they make cubes amazing!

Hi people, I bought Max Fleet, MAX Command, Silk, and DNM-37 because you guys said they were very good. So with these lubes, do I take my cube apart and then lube each individual piece, or do I just pull them apart and add a droplet of lube. And another question. What do I put in the cubes. Do I put a tiny droplet of each lube, or do I put more of one? Thanks, I am a beginner:)

DONT LUBE EVERY SINGLE PIECE YOU’LL OVERLUBE. For Max Command, I recommend disassembling the hardware, and applying a tiny drop to the centre piece hole, the base of the spring, and the underside of the screw. For Silk, put a drop in the tracks and wide bits, for DNM, a drop anywhere, and Max Fleet, squeeze out a little onto anywhere. You can always add more lube, but you can’t effectively get rid of it, so one small bit at a time. You can also put Silk in the core, and Max Command on the pieces (for slowing down Max Fleet’s speed)

Sorry.. More questions.

So For Max Command, Dissemble the cube(GAN 356 X) what is the centrepiece hole, the base of the spring, and the underside of the screw?

What are the tracks and wide bits?

The underside of the screw is literally the bottom part of the head of the screw that is used for tensioning the cube. The tracks are the little indented in your pieces, and that’s all I can help you with.

Oh, you’re using a Gan X. Well, there aren’t any metal parts in the Gan X, so friction will be pretty low anyway. If you open up the centre cap, and take off the GES, there will be a hole for the core to stick through. I suggest maybe not lubing the X’s core, if you do, put some inside the GES (spring). The wide bit just means the area with the magnet on the edge, sorry for not being clear.

Do about 2-3 solves with just the MAX Command. For MAX Fleet, just take out an edge and a corner piece, then put some on the pieces that are exposed. (Be careful, it comes out very fast!) Put the 2 pieces back in and break that in with another 2-3 solves. Then, you can put 1-3 drops of each DNM-37 and Silk in different parts of the cube without taking out any pieces. You have a fully lubed Gan X!

(I have a Gan X that I lubed the exact same way, minus the Silk, and the cube is very fast, but still controllable, and crazy quiet. I did the same thing on my Valk 2 M.)

Do I do the same for every other cube? Like my Xs? My Tengyun V2m? I don't have it Yet but Im about to.

Edit: The Max Command is only for the GES and the core?
