I think we're in similar boats. After a few more weeks of trying, the Bullfight isn't winning over my SuLong. The lack of reverse cutting is a bit annoying and it's too heavy and sluggish for extended use. I can hit some good singles with the Bullfight because it's stable and smooth but I get inconsistent times because it isn't light and snappy like the SuLong. The quest continues.

On the other hand, I'm warming up a little to the HuaLong as it breaks in. I'm shocked by how fast I can execute algorithms on that thing. Maybe with a bit more tinkering with tensions I can retain the speed but make it more stable. We'll see. I also have the YuXin 3x3 en route...

You can bet we are [in the same boat]!!!!

I have even ordered a Guanlong to see if that works, as it is dirt cheap I'm not losing much by trying. And I'm definitely lubing, cleaning and restickering my Aolong v1 to try it out again (in spite of the corner twisting issues). Not sure what other stable cubes I can try :(

And yeah, the same you describe with the Hualong (mine still has not arrived :( ) happens to me with the Weilong v2. It's so fast that, when I can chain a full PLL without locking up I can go so much faster than with the Chilong... but in the long run the instability hinders my average. I think I should also try tigthening it a bit and lubing it with heavier lube (currently wt 2 so, fast cube + fast lube = uncontrollable).

Ft=feet
Gas= autocorrect for Gans

1/2 is alright. gans makes sense

@nhokgo068: old cubes like the C4Y are not very good anymore. the gans cubes are awesome, but not the best for feet solving. from what I have seen, most feet solvers prefer blockier cubes such as the dayan cubes.

Imo, the C4Y cube should be good, because they are blockier, and worse. Thats why he's asking;)

what cube should i get?

i am a sub 35 solver and my main is a modded dollar store cube but the stickers peeled off completely so i am planing on buying a new cube what should i get?
-smooth with a slight bumby feel
-1/2 a cubie corner cut with ease (both inverse and normal)
-fast but not too much
-little to no lockups
-little corner twists
:tu
budget:$10

Most current cubes seem to be clicky and loud. What are some quiet but still fast cubes on the market right now?
In general is the Aolong still one of the best cubes? I am trying to decide whether to just resticker mine or get a new cube.

Get a new cube for sure. Aolong is great. any speed cube is better than a dollar store cube. get a guanlong if you cant decide.

Lol I am not the dollar store cube guy. I have an Aolong v1.

yeah the Aolong is still one of the best on the market.

Ok thanks.

Also is the Yuxin 4x4 better than the Aosu or at least on par? A lower price would be great for me.
