It can be good to wear away plastic a bit for smoothness, but is a cube-killer in the end. If it feels like an SM, that’s good enough, clean it out. Or you’ll end up with a cube with deformed plastic.
how?Vaseline eats cubes. Clean it as soon as possible. Thoroughly.
It’s Petroluem Jelly, which is like diluted nail varnish remover to plastic. Check out the wiki on it.how?
like any other reasonable person, me and my brother decided to lube it with vaseline.
I use weight 5 on the core and tracks. I break that in and if the cube is to slow I add DNM to taste. To fast, I add compound X.What is your go to lube for any cube of any size? I've been watching cube setup tutorials from Jay and Tymon and Cyo and they sue weight 5 as their main lubricant. What do you guys use generally? I normally use weight 5, silk and dnm, depending on the speed of the puzzle and size. Why I am asking is because I am looking to setup my MGC 5x5 soon, and am wondering if I should go with the setup I use on most cubes go with weight 5 all the way. Btw the weight 5 I have is from speedcube.com.au , I don't know if this makes any difference. Would weight 3 work just fine too?
According to cyo dnm and weight 5 dont mix in a 5x5I use weight 5 on the core and tracks. I break that in and if the cube is to slow I add DNM to taste. To fast, I add compound X.
As in compound X?Angstrom X

Could you just edit your first post? Keeps everything cleaner.Yes. One drop on the tracks and one in the middle fluorine cut should slow it a lot!
