You asked this question the other day and I answered it...

r2 D' L' F (l' U2 l' U2 x U2 l' U2 x' r U2 r' U2 l2) F' L D
I've never heard of anyone using anything else for basic r2 method.

Personally I think it would be silly to do this every time, because if you think abouty what you're doing you can cut time off parity easily. When you are finishing your edges, you'll get to the stage where you have 1 edge target left, and the r slice is correct. Normally you'd shoot to the target, then do the above alg. The part in brackets swaps UFr and UBr, so why not just set up to that alg before doing that last edge target, and finish the solve like that? Obviously you don't have to set up the buffer and last target to those specific UFr UBr positions - just any face where they're across from each other. Max 3 setup moves.

I don't want to do corner tapping and saying the letter, so I want to switch to audio memo for corners. So I'll use a lettering scheme and then just memorise those letters by saying/whispering them, but I can't understand Speffz at all from the wiki. Can anyone simplify it for me? I think its something like going by order of faces ULFRB, you go clockwise around the corners of that face going ABCD, then E would be L of LUB corner?

I am having trouble memorising corners because my way may not be effective. Can others tell me how they do it?

Beloved N-perm. Thanks for answering.
Also, will you be attending Serbia Open? (http://serbiaopen.comuf.com/)
Few of your countrymen has already registered and it would be great if you'd come. :)

Sorry, but that's not really probable. I've already registered for two comps in the upcoming months, and I don't have the time and the money to go to any more. And besides it's really not wort hit for me to go to a competition where only one bld event is held.

Indeed. Should be at least mbld, if not 4bld. Some other time then, and good luck on those two competitions. :)

I'd suggest trying to figure out your mistakes. Try taking your time with memo too.

I always find my DNFs VERY off. Like a whole scrambled cube, with some solved chunks here and there, very ugly. Sometimes I even get Roux DNFs (1x2x3 blocks on either sides), and once I even got full F2L solved, leaving OLL and PLL! I don't worry much if the DNF is like 2 twisted/flipped corners/edges off, or a corner or edge cycle off.

Are you sure your doing parity right? I had a similar problem at first when having parity I would do y' Ra perm but it actually was y Ra perm.

Probably just setup moves undone wrongly. Count the unsolved edges and corners and if you have 4 and 4, then it's just a move wrong somewhere in the middle of the solve. Make sure that you're still in the same orientation when you finish as well.

I think that would only happen during corners cos I use freestyle and its pretty easy to make a mistake.

I use M2 edges and usually I do r2 R2, and sometimes I may overturn and do M3 instead :p. But I have been really careful recently, and I do M2 with middle+ring finger, so its safer, but still lotsa DNFs. :(

Make sure that you're still in the same orientation when you finish as well.

Don't really make that mistake often, but sometimes I can do a CRAZY amount of rotations during corners and still finish with the right orientation. So doesn't really matter.
