Memo twisted corners and edges for MBLD? I'm finding that just trying to remember whats twisted and flipped doesn't work good at all.

I memo the letters of both stickers of the flipped cubie for edges. And for corners I memo the letter of the sticker that should go on U or D face and then memo the U or D sticker of that cubie, so I know which way to flip the corner...

Memo twisted corners and edges for MBLD? I'm finding that just trying to remember whats twisted and flipped doesn't work good at all.

I have an image for each edge that corresponds to one of that edge's letters. For corners I just memorize the U or D sticker. I use a room for each cube, so my twisted corner locus is right next to my corner locus, and my flipped edges go right in front of the door, so I can't leave the room without stepping on it. Hope this helps.

Hi guys, in 4BLD what commutators do you use for these cases? (UFr-UBl-DFl) ; (UFr-UBl-DBr) ; (UFr-UBl-DLb) and (UFr-UBl-DRf), any help will be much apreciated.

Since I use DFr as my buffer, I'll start each of these with x':

UFr-UBl-DFl: x' y' L' F D' r' D R2 D' r D R2 F' L y x
UFr-UBl-DBr: x' y R' F' D r' D' L2 D r D' L2 F R y' x
UFr-UBl-DLb: x' y' F D' r' D R2 D' r D R2 F' y x
UFr-UBl-DRf: x' y F' D r' D' L2 D r D' L2 F y' x

If you notice, the last two are just the first two without the extra setup move. I believe they're all optimal (they're my "BH algs", anyway), although I could be wrong.

1) r U2 l' U2 r' U2 r U2 l U2 r' U2 (Per's Special for wings)
2) x' l' U2 r U2 l U2 l' U2 r' U2 l U2 x (same as above, mirrored)
3) x' y' F' R2 U l' U' R2 U l U' F y x (a variant of Mike's alg)
4) x' y F L2 U' l' U L2 U' l U F' y' x (same remark)

1. Per special (as TMOY)
2. Per special
3. (F2) l2 U' L2 U l2 U' L2 U (F2)
4. Mirror above.

Tbh I wouldn't actually use any of these because I never remember I can use those per special algs on 4bld. Because I use DFr buffer, I'd never get 3 or 4. But I've written what I'd do now that I think about it.

My average of 3x3x3 bld is 1:45 - 2:00 and my ultimate goal is sub-30 seconds :)
I found that my memo is very slow (45-60 seconds). I memorize using letter pairs and making stories with images.
I tried to memorize all cube using audio memory but it is hard.
So I came to idea to memorize edges using images and stories and corners using audio.
Does this method have a potential to achieve sub-30 (including execution) one day?
Or only audio memo rules?

Yes. I make a sentence for edges and audio for corners, and my memo is ~9 seconds. If I practised a lot I could be sub30 but I don't have any interest in solving BLD anymore

No, I averaged around 32-33. And "why are you losing interest?"? I just don't feel like doing it any more. I tried practising and 1) it felt like a chore and 2) DNFs, no me gusta
