Okay. Maybe a couple months? It would probably just be quicker to use a bunch of wet paper towels.

I would assume, but that's if you really want to work it out. You can also just use it for a month or so and there shouldn't be that much residue.

My lube string is all empty and my cube is dry. The only lubricant substitute I have is bicycle lubricant. Can I use it to lube the pieces.

Soak all the pieces in soapy water. Take an unused toothbrush, and rub all the areas. Or use a fine towel. Let it properly dry, and reassemble.
I don’t really think that’s a good idea... Is it possible to buy some lube? If you really want to try, do it in your Rubik’s Brand or something first.

I actually tried it on my carbon fiber cubes and it works great! I guess it works similar to differential oil. It makes the cube both smooth and fast. The viscosity is similar to the of Weight 5 lubes.

I only have silicone spray because the others lube are expensive and cubing for me is just for fun, I don't want to spend a lot of money in lubrication.

I am very confused with what lube I should buy,I have a basic understanding of the different weights and types and I know I should buy some lube from the Cubicle or speedcubeshop, but I know I won't get free shipping unless I buy $39 of stuff, so I think I'll wait 5 months until my birthday to get premium lubes. Are there any good lubes that I could buy on Amazon just for the short term?

Traxxas is a fantastic silicon based lube and is my favorite silicon lube for my cubes, Its very cheap, about 25 bucks for 150ccs of it, here is an Amazon listing for a 3-pack of 10k 30k and 50k. The rule of thumb is basically 10k = Weight 1, 30k = Weight 3, 50k = Weight 5

If you are going to get lube from either TC or SCS I would whole heartedly recommend TheCubicle by a long shot. My personal favorites are DNM, Mystic, and Lubicle-1

Max Fleet vs DNM-37 vs Lubicle 1 vs Lubicle Speedy?
Have a Tengyun V2, lubed with Silk, 30K, and Adheron. It’s nice, but too slow, and if I wipe out some to get more speed, it loses smoothness and quietness in return. Anyone have suggestions?

If it needs a really big boost, and I mean REALLY BIG, use DNM. Otherwise, use Max Fleet.

Or maybe Lubest XMT 10 would be good? I have heard positive reviews, negatives only being it being too fast.

DNM-37 is an overall fast lube though, can't go wrong with it, especially with a slow cube

I have a question. What is the best lube for someone in a really dry environment? Where I live it is like less than 10% humidity almost all the time. I have DNM, Silk, Lubicle 1, and the Max lubes and they all wear out extremely quickly and make my cubes gummy and slow. Thanks in advance!
