How long does it last in the cube?after how many solves do you have to relube?

In one of my cubes, I lubricated it once with Atomic Cube Lube when I got it, and I've never lubed it since. It's still amazing.

My neighbor found out what lubix uses and foundout it is in rc car motors.. and bought it in bulk for the same price as one little lubix thing! set for life im pretty sure its traxxas though..

Neither of them would be as good as a heavy silicone oil, cube hardware does better with thick stuff than thin stuff (those are both basically maru)
I recommend traxxas 50k

Vaseline will eventually eat away the plastic in your cube and destroy it.

Yup, it's great stuff if you like the idea of having a cube that consists of springs, screws, and washers

I want to apply lube to my zhanchi core...does maru lube work?
If so how am i to apply it?

Maru can work on the springs however a heavy silicone oil works best as a grease. It stays in there and doesn't need to be changed often.

Maru lube works fine for the rest of the plastics but it is just gone in 5 days and needs to be reapplied. Of course a heavy medium or light silicone oil also works as well if you don't overdo it and it does not need to be reapplied nearly as often.

Maru seems to be very good on tight cubes. Maru seems to be really good on big cubes that can be not just tight but a pain to clean out if you overlube them with heavy lube.

I used it on my guhong from the beginning and never knew any different. But my zhanchi came pre-lubed with lubix and loved it but after applying the CRC it gained the same "scratchy" feeling I never liked about my guhong. This means it's not the cube's fault, its my lubrication. When I first apply it, it works great. It just has a really bad "dried out" feel that it gets after a very short time.

So here's what I don't understand. Am I adding too much spray? Am I adding too little spray or not often enough? Or is this just what it's supposed to do and I should just buy lubix instead?

Because I didn't have anything else and after a while it desperately needed something. Besides, I can always wash it out and add the lubix when I get it. Good as new, right?

Oh, okay, well yeah you should probably get some lubix then.

And then get traxxas 30k or 50k instead. The 50k is a tad thicker than lubix, but it works just as wonderfully for a much cheaper price

Ok. Do you mean that I should get lubix THEN get traxxas or since it seems to do everything lubix can just get this to begin with and save money?

Traxxas 30k or 50k differential oil INSTEAD of lubix It's the same stuff, for much cheaper

How would I go about mixing maru with traxxas 50k?
It doesn't seem like I could just dump it in, because the traxxas is so thick...
Any ideas?

Just dump a bit of maru in. It will mix with the traxxas as you solve.
