Hi,
Does anyone know how to lube the core of an Aolong v2 with traxxas 50k diff oil. And is traxxas 50k suited for lubing the pieces or only for the core?
And how much should I use then?

Hi,

I would unscrew the caps, and separate the cap from the screw, spring and washer. Then, I would put a small amount of lube in the cap, and then some on the screw and washer. Do that for all 6 of them. When you screw them back in, try to get even tensions. Screw it in halfway and then push the cap back to put a little more lube on the screw. Then, screw it in more. Do this for all 6. Also, you can put a little lube in the core holes before you put the screws and caps back in. You can lube the pieces with 50k, but 30k might be a little better for that job.

Reducing Dynamic Friction

I started cubing two months ago-and I have a MoYu YJ Sulong.I have tensioned it loose cause I like loose tensions. There is about half a centimetre gap between the R and L faces if you pull those apart.I heard something about static and dynamic friction, static friction is the force required to move the layer, dynamic is the resistance felt during turning.I can't get my hands on any Lubix or Maru.Silicone ,petroleum jelly and differential oil just decreases static friction and increases dynamic. Is there some lube that does the opposite? If possible something easily available and not too expensive.(I'm low on cash)

Moyu Hualong issues

Hi all,
My Moyu Hualong came from speedcube.com.au and out of the box it was better condition and faster then it is now.
After doing some solves, I wanted to lube and tension the cube so I tried to tension the cube as it was on stock tensions, but to my discovery, only 2/6 sides could be tensioned so I put those 2 sides on loose tensions so I thought the surrounding sides would become loose, to my personal preference. But that did not stop the cube from constantly popping .
So I tried lubing the core using the stretch centers, squeeze into screws method without taking the centers from the centerpiece.I was using weight 4.
But the other problem was that the green dispensing tip was lost as well, so I tried my hardest to squeeze it into the area of the screws. Then the cube got really gummy. A bit later it got a bit faster, making me able to do a bit of speed solving on it.Any suggestions on how to loosen all sides and make the cube better?

My hualong also came really tight and I couldn't loosen the blue side. I pushed an appropriate size flat head screwdriver really hard against the screw and tightened it a tad. I couldn't loosen it, but zi could make it tighter. This made the screw loosen a bit and I was able to tension it appropriately after that.

Cant buy lube, any thing I could use instead? House-hold items would be great as I cant buy lube. My mum thinks it is for "private purposes" which is correct but I also need lube for my cube.

wait wait, what do you mean by "which is correct"(I don't want to know). If you can buy traxxas from any local hobby store. if not try something like shampoo or ketchup (preferably shampoo).
