I think that picking one of the big 4 would be your best choice. Not necessarily CFOP, since roux, ZZ and Petrus are also great (ZZ especially!(that was biast))

You can get ideas on how to track your progress on this thread:

You are going to get a truckload of people saying 'learn roux!'
Just don't. Sub 10 is definitely achievable if you put enough dedication into it, no matter how young you are. I am only 12 and I achieved it.
I reaaallly don't want another of these useless debates, but feel free to use Roux if you like it. Even if you stubbornly believe CFOP is simply superior, there's no doubt that fun is more important than speed. If you're fast but aren't having fun, what's the point?

Okay. I am not trying to get anyone to switch over to CFOP. OP said they were switching to CFOP to try to get faster, and several people immediately said to look at the other big 4 methods, learn roux, zz, etc. Why do you want to change his mind?
To give him other options. I told him to also consider other methods, they're also fast, and should also be checked out. I'm not trying to eliminate CFOP as an option, but to add more options for him to choose.

Simmer down, kids. lol

I'm kinda stuck around 18ish seconds. I know almost full PLL, will be finishing it soon. Cross takes about 3 seconds, F2L 10, LL 5. I could definitely work on optimizing inspection, sometimes I won't even be able to plan out my cross. I feel my F2L is relatively efficient, I usually don't have many pauses because I usually turn kind of slowly. I could probably get better at looking ahead so I could turn a little faster in my F2L, but any specific tips? Also I do quite a bit of slow solving to optimize F2L(I've tinkered with intuitive ZBLS some, so I've found pretty efficient ways to solve most of the cases), and I do an ok amount of solves a day

According to stuff I've read, you should mostly be finishing 2LLL. I've read that a cuber who averages 25-30 seconds should have a 5 sec LL.

EDIT : Also, read the stuff in the first post thingy about all the speeds and how to get faster.

According to Feliks' CFOP splits tool, if you have an average of 16.5 seconds then your LL should be about 6 seconds

if you become color neutral, you'll much more likely be able to plan out your cross. My main motivation to become dual CN was so I could plan out the first pair more in inspection and it worked pretty well.

Over the past ~2 years, I've been solving and solving and solving... and.

As you can see, I'm kinda stuck in the 12 second barrier. I know full OLL and PLL, still working on Cross+1, bi-color neutral (white and yellow), and my PB is 7 TPS. Any advice on improving would be very helpful.
Thanks! :)

Should I continue to learn COLL? I average just under 10 seconds right now and I know about a quarter of COLL. Is COLL going to make my solves faster or would it be better to work on x crosses and lookahead instead?
