You're pausing a lot, which means you need to work on lookahead.
My suggestion is that you do slow solves where you turn as slowly as necessary to not pause, as well as do solves where you plan out as much of each step as you can and do it blind (Like cross+1, next two pairs, last pair + OLL, etc.).

Just remember that learning algorithms and substeps is only half the battle, the rest is practice.
THANKS DUDE,, now im sub 20in average

it takes me an average of three seconds for the cross, twenty seconds for f2l and ten seconds for the last layer. i have an average of 32. how can i get faster?

I use 4LL and when I'm using a timer, I can see that the F2L stage is always done at the 32-33 sec mark, after that I usually can finish in sub 40... My F2L sucks big time...

Hi everyone I average around 12 seconds on cross + F2L and around 5 seconds on last layer (I know most of the OLL and full PLL). Does anyone have suggestions on how I can get faster for F2L? I tried slow turning, but that slow turning TPS ends up being the TPS I turn with during F2L in a real solve.

Your slow turning TPS is only the same as your real TPS because of the pauses in your real solves. I.e let's say you average 30 moves for cross plus F2L - in a real solve you execute this stage in 12 seconds, consisting of bursts at 5 TPS, and pauses at 0 TPS, averaging 2.5.

When slow turning, you're going 2.5 TPS all the time.

Keep slow turning until you can increase TPS without pausing, and you will continue to improve.

Film slow and normal solves, and watch for pauses as proof that you can improve without increasing TPS.

Sorry, I meant in real solves I turn just as slow as I do in slow solves. But thanks, so I will just slowly increase my TPS while still having no pauses.

Hello everyone I started in August in solving, and one month after more or less I learned 2Look OLL and 2Look PLL, now I m full PLL with some OLL but mostly 2 look. Now my times are:

30.17, 36.39, 31.98, 34.12, 32.75, 33.10, 35.45, 31.00, 35.98, 36.88, 31.78, 31.54, 31.41, 32.31, 33.40, 35.88, 33.80, 27.93, 29.94, 34.70, 29.22. My PB is 24.90 (miracle).

I m focused of being sub 30, but it d be cool to be sub 25. My times are, in F2L 16-20 " more or less and in LL the rest. I think my LL is so bad, people can do in 3-4 sec haha.

I m not neutral colour, I start mostly with white on the down and sometimes yellow. I m using Valk 3. It could be nice to have some advices about getting better. If its better to start being full Fridrich or not yet.

You should learn the rest of OLL whenever you want to, you'll benefit from it at any point.
Though, if you're going to learn it eventually, might as well get it out of the way now.

As for getting faster, you don't need to work on your LL. F2L is where you'll find the most improvement, LL just gets better as you practice solving normally.

I'd suggest, since you're still somewhat new, that you at least try transitioning to color neutral. It's not a necessity by any means, but it can give you really lucky starts and can improve lookahead by being more familiar with the color scheme.

If you don't know full PLL learn it, and if you don't know 2 look OLL learn it, also watch some tutorials on F2L and lookahead. This is assuming you avg like 40-ish seconds but this could be applied all the way down to ~15 secs or so

I average about thirty with some 2 one-looks and a bunch of 2 look olls. I only know beginners method PLLs except for the H and Z perm and for F2l i know the basics

It also depends which method you want to learn. Be sure to check out some other methods before being stuck with CFOP (such as Roux, ZZ, PCMS and Petrus as a start). In general, you should probably learn the 2-look PLL and 2-look OLL first.

Hai guys,I learned intuitive f2l recently and do f2l in 1 min.How can I get faster
