If you have good H and Z perms, maybe you should use the MU U perms. They are some of my fastest PLLs.

I agree you should learn full PLL, I've never understood people thinking that they can't learn something until they hit a certain time. I learned full PLL when I was around 60 seconds. It made me faster. It will make you faster too. Sure, you can continue to drill other things and make other aspects of your solve faster too, but you are going to do that eventually anyway, so why does it matter? If you have identified that your last layer is slow, then it makes sense to focus on that, which includes learning more algs. And the sooner you learn the algs, the more practice you get using them.

Here is what I would suggest: watch Brody the cuber’s video on the easy oll algorithms and learn a few of the ones you find easiest. Learn the MU uperms, learn the f, j, a, na pll algorithms. Use jperm.net to drill those algs.

Thats not the problem though. You can be sub 20 with 4LLL. @The Rising Cuber I suggest drilling alg execution - spam practise every alg you have. Make sure you have good algorithms and are doing optimal fingertricks. And practise last layer on its own to train recognition.
I'd agree that you can be sub 20 with 4LLL. I'm not sure though why people want to hamstring themselves by striving for sub-whatever before learning at least full PLL and then full OLL. The PLL's are not that hard to learn and can be done in a few weeks realistically. OLL on the other hand will take a fair amount longer to learn, in my case about 6 months.

All this can still be done while working on F2L and spamming LL algs. Learn the algs, get them done and move on.

I have a similar problem. Do you have a hard time recognizing the case, or do you mess up the case mid execution causing you to have to fix it? I have issues with the second one personally, and that just means you have to turn slower until your accuracy increases.

Thanks. Can you suggest me some sources (whether youtube or from wherever) from where I can learn good fingertrick habits? I personally find J Perm to be the best cube tutor out there, but I did not find his tutorials useful for improving my last layer (though he has a really big role in guiding me till sub 30).
Hmm, not really too sure, but I think CubeSkills is good.

there is no problem for recognizing cases, except for the diagonal corner swap (because it comes rarely). That will be improved with practice.
with all the posts and helps I have read from you guys, I am determined to learn full PLL. Not sure about full OLL yet, because it has 57 algs.
Also I am not very familiar with algorithm practices. I have always practiced the rubik's cube as a whole-at-once (i.e. Scramble the cube and solve it casually while trying to correct you mistakes). I have never practiced algorithms in deep. Can anyone of you describe in detail how do you do an algorithm drill?

Go to the 2-look PLL and 2-look OLL trainers on jperm.net. They give you a scramble that will give you one of the cases you need to practice and have you time how long the algorithm takes. Since recognition is an issue, I'd recommend closing your eyes when you finish the scramble and starting the timer so that the time is recognition+execution. Also, a couple examples on camera would help make it easier to critique

I solemnly accept that my last layer is really bad. Even though I average between 25 to 30s, My last layer takes more time than expected by a sub 30 solver (i.e. over 11s). I believe that if I start solving the last layer in 8 to 10s, I can get really better times. There must be something I am missing about the last layer. I know 2-look OLL and 2-look PLL (along with some easy PLLs). Please help me.
So you're doing the algs for 2 look OLL and PLL. When you're not doing solves, try to do the algs as fast as you can. You'll mess up sometimes but that's fine and what's important is you get faster at turning. Also learn good fingertricks from cubeskills videos or J perm's videos.

This is what i did to shave off 4-5 second. And after I did 200+ solves, I kind of knew what was going to happen next after I did the F R U R' U' F, or f R U R' U' f' algorithm for OLL. For PLL, I just slowly learned full PLL and worked on recognition.

I disagree. I find F U R U' R' F' harder and slower. It's a matter of preference, and before you say it f R U R' U' f' doesn't have a regrip if you do it right

Actually I'll give you 2 real reasons. 1. It's a tiny bit easier to see the rest of the cube during the alg since it doesn't hide 2/3 of the U face and instead only hides 1/3 of the U face and 2. If you use this alg it will get you used to anti-sexy inserts and triggers you will use in later algorithms

1.) You don't need to see the cube, just learn PLL prediction
2.) You can practice those without using that alg
3.) Not always. In this case it's just as fast as FURURF

As I pronounced previously, it's purely personal preference. Please pause your pattern of producing presumptions on the point of posts.

I can solve the 3x3 in about 1 min 15 secs and the 2x2 in about 18 secs, I am learning how to solve the pyraminx. I am transitioning from beginners to cfop on the 3x3 and beginners to ortega on the 2x2. Any helpful tips or tricks for learning new methods/algs or should I learn 4x4 and/or 5x5?
