What is the difference between the cyclone boys FeiWu (Simplified Version), and the Xuanfeng(strengthened version). I can't seem to find any comparisons anywhere that are in my language of useful.

Answer: From what I can tell, the only difference is that the Xuanfeng' inner circle shape is more tightly packed towards the core (requiring more material) and has a slightly wider inner track, while the FeiWu has a larger inner circle which should make it feel like it has a little less mass. This will probably make the FeiWu a little more hollow/airy feeling, but I really don't think it is a difference big enough to shake the $2 price gap. (the Feiwu being the cheaper of the two)

Question: I'm setting off on a journey through memorizing all 21 plls and a lot of them use x and y moves. I've put together how these refer to the axis by which I do a cube rotation, x being along L and R, y along U and D. However the real confusion is direction. I assumed y moves would be just like U moves just as a cube rotation, but what about x moves? Does an x' mean I would rotate the cube as I would the R face as if I were doing a R' or the L face as if to do a L'?

An x' would be on the R face as a R' cube rotation. You could also view it as you Front face becoming you Down face, and your Up face becoming your Front face.

Answer: Y is like U, X is like R, Z is like F

I recently ordered the 4 layer octahedral cube from LanLan but I just noticed it resembles to the cane ball also from LanLan.
Is it the same cube (different shape) or do I miss something?

According to the regulations:

4d) Scrambling orientation:
  • 4d1) NxNxN puzzles and Megaminx are scrambled starting with the white face (if not possible, then the lightest face) on top and the green face (if not possible, then the darkest adjacent face) on the front.
  • 4d2) Pyraminx is scrambled starting with the yellow face (if not possible, then the lightest face) on bottom and the green face (if not possible, then the darkest adjacent face) on the front.
  • 4d3) Square-1 is scrambled starting with the darker colour on front (out of the 2 possible scrambling orientations).
  • 4d4) Clock is scrambled starting with either side in front and 12 o'clock pointing up.
  • 4d5) Skewb is scrambled starting with the white face (if not possible, then the lightest face) on top and the green face (if not possible, then the darkest adjacent face) on the front-left.
At home, feel free to do whatever you prefer. Most people prefer following the regulations.
