But people say Traxxas 50k is too much for cubies, and I have just 2 lubes with me right now: the aforementioned and Maru. What combination would be best? I have a Zhanchi.

I'm thinking Traxxas is the best bet in the long run. Lube the core, put a couple drops on the cubies, and you should be fine. Remember to work in the lube as well. Give it a few solves, and if it's too gummy, just wipe some of it out.

Whats the two of the most important contact spots??

Take a look at your cubies. Put a drop on the two most heavily scratched parts :)

See if that helps for about 20 or so solves.. if it is not enough the cube will feel scratchy, you can add another drop on a different spot and see what happens.

It is all a matter of trial and error really :) (trust me, I know LOL)

Ok, then I will get 10k, because i like my cubes fast. Which one is better for the core? 30k or 50k?

How long does 60ml (2oz) of diff oil last?

I suggest go for the 50k on the core/hardware.

60mL will probably last your for about 7~8 months. Or even for a full year! (I only lube, around twice a month, or so.)

I use 50k for cubies and I think it works well. 10k might be better for cubies (I'm gonna start experimenting with that myself) but 50k certainly isn't bad. It's definitely better than Maru, which feels slick and fast for about a session of cubing and then disappears. You'll be fine with 50k. Just use a tiny amount and wipe it down if it feels gummy.

Hi, does anyone know which lubricant dayan uses to lube their cubes?

The story is that I have got my new Zhanchi 55mm two weeks ago and it was prelubed, but unfortunately the german speedcube shop sent me a "nice" (well this was what I thought in the beginning) bag with it. It turned out to produce much lint (I hope that's the right word in english) and after one day my whole cube was full of this. So I disassembled it and cleaned it, but then of course nearly everything of the lube has gone with the dirt. Now finally all of the lube has worn off and I want to lube my Zhanchi with the same (or very similar) lube which has been on it before because I really liked how it worked.
I also don't know about another lube that I might like since I have never lubed any cube before (yes, I am a beginner ;) ), the only cube I had befor was a pillowed v-cube which didn't really need lube (at least not at my skill-level :P ).

It would be really helpful if anyone knew about the lube used by dayan or could recommend me a similar one.

As far as I know, dayan doesn't lube its cubes. Tell us the name of the cube shop from where you got it maybe?

I have some hair cuticle coat called " vitress " , I've looked into the ingredients and searched them , cyclopentasiloxane , dimethicone , cyclotetrasiloxane . I find out that these are type of silicone oils . So I've put it in my cube :D

It really works well :D Well, not as good as diff. oils, but it gets the job done :D

Its the same thing as Livon, which i use. Same as Maru. Leaves a white residue, wears off in a day.
