Is CRC good in a Shengshou 6x6 and v-cube 7? Or should I just put a lot of Diff Oil on the pieces?

shengshou 6x6 comes prelubed and v cubes just suck. get a shengshou problem solved but if you already have the v cube id say go with diff oil as its faster and better.

2x2 Lubrication Help!

I just got a new Ghost Hand and I was looking around the internet trying to find a good video on how to lubricate it but I couldn't find one that helped. They were all either bad quality or were not detailed at all. It is not going to be my main speed cube because I am ordering a new Wittwo. It would me much appreciated if someone could give a detailed video on how to lubricate either of these cubes (preferably with Lubix). I know it sounds like a bit much but it would really help.

Thanks,
SweetSolver :)

Hey, I'm new to Speedsolving.com but I have a question about lubrication. I have a normal Rubik's bran 3x3 that is pretty well broken in. I first lubed it with vaseline, then about a year later I used silicone spray on it which worked fin but now about 4 months later, my cube keeps slowing down. If I reapply more silicone spray/wipe the cube down it will be good for a few days at max and then slow down again... What should I do?

Well it seems like your options are:
1. use the slow cube (good for developing look ahead, not recommended for a main cube though)
2. Re-lube every few days
3. get a new lubricant (lubix, silicube, traxxas/ofna, shock oil)

Also a new cube probably wouldn't hurt and would go better with option 3 (guhong and zhanchi and the most recommended these days, ~$10-20 each, depending where you purchase)

How do you get Vaseline out of your cube?

*Gasp* I know I did a n00b move. Now I got me some CRC, so I won't be needing the atrocity known as Vaseline . Although any suggestions of how to get the dreaded Vaseline out of my cube? I heard toothpaste works, but I am reluctant to try.... :fp

Well, with my rubiks brand, i used warm water with dish soap. Not sure if it had many adverse effects on the cube as I got a zhanchi soon after. I think it was a pretty safe bet though, but I would wait to see a few more replies.

Just so everyone knows, if after a while your cube is losing its "lubix feel", and no matter how much lubix you put on it you can't get it back, it means you need to lube the core again. For the last week I had no idea why lubix wasn't working and I figured out I had to relube the core. It only lasted me 2 months, so lube the core every once in a while.

hello i am trying to find a good lub that does not leak through the cracks and does not smell if that is posible.
Thank you for any help

I recommend Lubix. Depending on how many cubes you want to lube, 2cc lubricates about 15 cubes, so that should be enough for you.
