Lubing a Ghost Hand 2x2?

How do lube a Ghost Hand 2x2? I'm using a can of white lithium grease for the lube.

Thanks.

Lubricant is going to get on your bare hands as you use the cube. When you are considering testing a new lubricant, please take a moment to look up the material safety data sheet (MSDS) for the product to make sure it is safe for something you will be handling for long periods of time.

Did you just crush mechanical pencil lead? I tried to do that once, but mine just couldn't be crushed down to a fine enough powder.
You can get dry graphite as a spray. It is good for metals except some types of aluminum. It is commonly used for door hinges. I'm not sure how well it would work on plastic.

Cube lubrification help please

Hello, this is my first post in here.
I just bought a new "funskool rubik's cube" for Rs. 300 or $6. Here is the product online- http://funskoolindia.com/product-detail.php?p=271
The cube itself is pretty tight and my average timing on this is 3mins which in pretty slow. I have heard lots of times that lubricating the cube makes it faster. The lubricants I have heard of are the vaseline(petroleum jelly) and the Silicon spray.
Most people have recommended silicon spray so I asked my neighbourhood shopkeeper about the spray and it was not available there while vaseline is available locally.
I have also heard that vaseline corrodes the plastic in the cube.
Is is really like that. I mean, can I use vaseline? The cube is just 2 days old.
And yeah, i have a competition today at the place where I learned cubing so i have to be pretty quick.
Please help. Thanks in advance.

Lubing my first cube

Hey there:)

I received my Zhanchi in the mail 2 days ago, and it's really stiff, so I've decided to lube it. I've got some of the OK/Q8 Silicone Lubricant as seen on the wiki. So what I'm trying to figure out is how much lube to add. I don't need a cube that spins crazy fast, as I am in no way a speedcuber (1.05.36 is my best), but I am striving to be better. So I just need to lube it to go at a speed which would allow it to turn a layer by a flick of a finger.

So how much lube should I use IYO, and where should I apply it? Disassemble the whole cube and lube the core/springs, or just spray some into it?

Thanks in advance

I would disassemble it completely (except the core). Then take the edges apart and remove the torpedoes so they won't melt into the pieces. Lay all the pieces flat and spray everything once. Wait ~1 minute (30 sec? 45 sec? Just be semi-quick) and then take apart the corners and edges so they don't melt together. Wait another minute and then reassemble with the torpedoes. Make sure you break it in a lot right after you lube it or the pieces could fuse together (trust me - I would know...)

No, I mean spray polish.

Should I get Lubix or Z-Lube? Lubix is expensive, but lasts a long time. Z-Lube is cheap, and easy to apply, but shipping takes a long time. Thanks in advance.

Z-Lube, the wait is worth it. But don't order until you need some other cubes so you can get them with the Z-Lube and the shipping cost will be worth it.
