First of all traxxas 50k can be just as good as all silicone lubes, as long as you apply the right amount of it. It is easy to apply too much which will make it gummy. To make sure you don't apply too much I reccommend to apply a VERY small amount, and if you feel you want more lube, then apply more.

Secondly you can mix different viscosities of the lube by mixing it. By mixing 50k with 30k you can get something in between depending on how much of each lube you mix.

Hello,
I am looking into buying the Yuxin 4x4. What cubicle lube weights would work best for it? Is it similar to the standard weights for 3x3 cubes?

Thanks in advance!

If you know how to lube it properly, the best is probably Weight 4 or 5 in the cor. And weights 2 or 3 on the pieces. People say Maru lube helps a lot too.

Thanks! Since I am getting weights 4 and 2 for my 3x3 cube, would those work just as well for the 4x4, or would it be more advantageous to get 3 and 5 as well? Is there any difference, or is it too small to be able to tell?

4 and 2 are perfect. Those are what I use on my 3x3 and 4x4. But for 4x4 I would actually get 4 and 1, as the 4x4 is a bigger cube. So it needs lighter lube for it to spread along all the pieces evenly. It is very easy to gum up a 4x4 with lubes over 3. And it's very hard to clean out. (I know from personal experience) (It took me 3 days to get out by taking my 4x4 in the shower with me and doing solves).

I used weight 5 in my yuxin 4x4 and it worked well and speeded it up especially the inner layers.

I recently went to my first competition last Saturday, it was awesome, but what i noticed was everyone has much better lubed cubes that are way smoother then my cube, my cube seems a bit sluggish for a moyu aolong v2. I have lubed it probably 10 times since getting it with weight 5 in the core and weight 2 on the pieces and every time is seems to feel super slow. So i was hoping someone could give me some advice on my my cube is so slow.
Thanks

Aolong V2s arent particularly fast cubes to begin with, so probably just some weight one with some Maru is the best for you, after wiping out all of the old lube. You should only have to use the weight 5 on the core once a year or so

What should I lube a tanglong with?

Hi Guys, I recently bought a tanglong and I want to lube it, I have been thinking Traxxas 10K Diff. Oil on the pieces and maybe 30K or 50K on the core? Any help? Thanks
