100k is... Quite thick. Not sure how well it may work. Probably will work a little too well.
Is there like 75k or 80k?

Make your own. Get some 100k and mix it with 50k (or whatever) like the site tells you to, and have whatever weight you want. Thats how I made my 'lubix' by making 45k out of 40 and 50.

EDIT: Although IIRC, 100 isnt *that* much thicker than 50, thats why the next weight available is 500 after 100. Never used it though, so cant be sure.

Maru Lube Alternative?

I believe i might have found an alternative for maru lube. For those of you who dont know what maru lube is, it is a very low viscosity liquid that basically looks a bit like milk. Maru lube makes your cube really fast and a tad bit smoother. Maru lube is very expensive so many lubes have been created to stimulate its feel. I found this lube at bunnings warehouse called Pressol do it yourself oil. It looked very runny and I bought it and used it on my old rubiks 3x3 ripoff and it turned amazing! This lube makes the cube really smooth, quiet and really fast. Could this be a maru replacement? I cant wait to test it out when my hualong arrives!

Edit:It costed Au$4.80 for 100 ml

So I've always lubed my cubes (usually Lubix on the core, and Maru on the pieces). Today I took apart my AoLong and wiped down the pieces to clean it. I did not have my lube with me so I just put it back together dry. Holy cow! I love this cube even more. It actually feels faster now and has a nice sandy-ish feeling again that helps me recognize movements when doing Algs. Why have I never tried this in the past!?

I've got an AoLong V2 and I lubed it with Weight 1 Cubicle Lube and it was really fast. However, now when I use the lube in the pieces it only seems to gum it up and make the cube slower. Any suggestions? Also, what combination of Maru Lube and silicone lube should I use on the pieces to make it as fast as possible? Thanks!

Adding more lube will only make the cube gummier. So you are now probably over-lubing it. Try to wipe some lube off with a paper towel or something like that.

Maru lube leaves some white residue when it dries so probably the cube was in need of a cleaning anyway. That's the reason I changed from Maru to silicone oil, it lasts longer and does not leave residue. But, of course, if you like the feeling of the cube without lube, why not?

I didn't use a whole lot of lube though :P. However, I put a lot of Maru lube in with it and waited overnight and it got a whole lot faster though. Not sure how long this will last.

Vaseline/Petroleum Jelly on a YJ GuanLong

Hey guys, I am still kinda new to this forum and I do not know much so correct me if I'm wrong. So, a few days ago, I put Apollo brand Petroleum Jelly on my YongJun GuanLong and after a few days, it turned out kinda bad. It is harder to turn the faces and I tried wiping it off the pieces but it kinda got worked in too the cube. I am planning to lube it (again) with Maru Lube and I'm just wondering what to do with my cube to remove the feel. Thanks for replying. You guys are awesome!

Laundry detergent or dishwasher soap is probably your best bet for household means of cleaning off the vaseline.

I've had the best results cleaning cubes with a lab detergent called "Alconox" dissolved in methanol.
Good luck cleaning out your cube.
