To lube your cube with Maru you don't need to take it apart. As you can only use it to lube the pieces and not the core, you can just simply put two or three drops (not more than that) in between the pieces and let it spread by working your cube for a while. Shake the bottle a bit before applying.

Can you get non-silicone based differential oil? Also I remember you judging me, I hope you had a good comp. I also judged you for mega.
I definatly had one. For me the highlight as always was smashing my megaminx single and average official PB's, also I don't think you can as this is the only traxxas that I know if which I get off speedcubeshop.

So i'm thinking of buying an AoLong V2 from Cubicle, what are the best lube options for core and pieces? I average 25ish seconds, and would want a lube to make my cube more controllable, but still fast. Any suggestions?

Wt5 lubicle for the core and, if you want it controllable but fast I'd say perhaps a bit of wt2 for the pieces but don't overlube, I made that mistake and made sulong completely gummy and slow. You can also lube the pieces with Maru but the sweet spot only lasts for 2-3 days, at the beginning it makes the cube too fast and after a week you need to reapply. Don't use more than a couple droplets of Maru or it will make the cube uncontrollable until it dries up a bit.

Can anyone help me with this? (lubes)

Hey I'm new to the cubing and this forum.I got my Zhanchi few days ago and my local shop has a diff oil named LRP.Anyone has experience with this one? Also I got a "Prevent" silicone spray at home.Which one should I use/neither?Any of them will melt the plastic?I don't want to screw up this cube.

Can someone recommend me the 'best' lube for all cubes 4x4 and larger? I've been using Lubix the whole time and I feel that Lubix is slow for higher order cubes..
I was thinking of buying a different lube, but am not sure which to get..

Lube for my Cube(s)

Hi guys.

I'm fairly new here. I'll give a quick synopsis of where I'm up to - I do cross on bottom, intuitive f2l and 4-look LL in about 1.10 average (as a guess). I've just been learning rather than practicing which is why my speed's slow. Currently working on colour neutrality.

I have a Dayan zhanchi 3x3 which is my first and only cube and has never been lubed.

I don't know if any of that affects the type of lube I should get but it's there just in case.

I live in the UK and my dad's going to the US in a couple of weeks and since the available items over here seem limited/expensive I was going to order some stuff while he's there.

Thinking of getting a Dayan zhanchi 2x2 or a whittwo and I need some lube for my cubes.

I don't know much about lube but I don't want one that breaks down the cube and preferably not having to reapply every week.

It seems it's best to use a thicker lube for the core and a thinner lube for the pieces and I keep seeing things like 10cc or weight 5 but I haven't quite worked that out yet. If someone could enlighten me that would be useful. And silicone lube is the best?

Anyway if people could suggest good lubes for core and/or pieces it would be much appreciated!

Thanks!
