I lubed the core of a 3x3 (a Sulong) the other day with TheCubicle WT5 and the pieces with WT3 but I either put too much lube on the pieces or WT3 is too sticky for the pieces and now the cube feels gummy and slow. Can I fix this by adding a bit of Maru or do I have to dismantle it again and clean the pieces one by one?

bump. Anyone?

I strongly recommend Lubix for your cubes as it is defiantly the best if not the best out there. I would strongly advise against using Jigaloo (I think that's how you spell it) as risking a lot of the plastic melting away to acid is just not worth it, when you could just use Lubix instead or Traxxas instead.

I recommend wiping out the lube almost completely and THEN possibly adding a tiny drop or two of Maru Lube, because if you put Maru Lube in directly with the rest of the lube, it will really gum the cube up. Also, chances are that you overlubed the core; I speak from experience as this has happened to me before. xD

Hey guys, first post. I average around 45 seconds and got a Weilong. The cube is perfect. I never overshoot, and it's perfectly tensioned for me. I'm curious if I should lube it? I'm getting some Weight 1+5 Lubicle (10cc each; I can try it lubed either way.) in a few days. What do you guys think? If you think I should lube it, does anyone have a good tutorial? I did about 20 minutes of googling, but found nothing. Thanks.

If you think it's good for you and you're satisfied, don't lube it.

Too Much Lubrication (Please Help!)

I added way to much lubrication into my rubik's cube and now it moves way to fast, i am about a minute solver, planning to increase my time but i really would like to make it slower but i can't get it to slow down, is there a way to clean it? Please help!

Thanks,
Remlap

(I looked around the forum and couldn't find anything, but i don't really know how to use forums)

Okay thanks for the help, i will tell you how it goes, and i will try my best next time. =)

Thanks,
Remlap

Okay i did that, took about half an hour making sure i got ever crevice, it still seems fast though, the cube, for the slow hands of me is too fast. And it is the rubik's speed cube, so i can't just adjust the screws to make it tighter. So doesn't anyone have any ideas of how to fix it? I think it is just the left over lubrication on the pieces making it so fast.

Thanks,
Remlap

It also turns out JediJupiter that you was one of the people I have judged at the recent UK champs on day 2! I was one of the young teen looking Judges who had the blond hair and wore a black top, and I think it was on the 3x3 event with the first group if I remember correctly.
