Recently I purchased a stickerless Zhanchi and Lubix. after lubing my stickerless Zhanchi, I lubed my stickered Zhanchi with the same amount of lubix, and it had a ridiculous gummy feeling. It is now worse than my rubicks brand 3x3. So I cleaned it vigorously and then reassembled and lubed. And it is still gummy! I have no idea what to do! Any help would be greatly appreciated

I think you should just break it in even more.

Just to put it out there, lubing the Core makes a HUGE difference in the quality of a puzzle. I've seen people say, "Lubing the Core doesn't really do anything besides getting rid of spring noise," but there was a clear difference in my puzzle when I lubed the core.

It really does help allot cause if you really think about it that part is where it gets the most movement.

Lube noob here, I have a couple lube questions for you guys. When you lube a cube is it standard practice to also loosen the tensions? With the cubes I've lubed, I also loosened the tension waaaay more than I had it dry. This way it turns with as little resistance as possible. It seems like the lube slows down the cube unless the tensions are reduced.

I noticed in watching videos of fast cubers, when they do close ups of their pieces, it looks wet with a lot of lube. When I lubed mine and played with it for a while I couldn't really see the lube on the piece anymore. Seems like it all absorbed into the cube. Is that a sign I should keep adding more?

What lube did you use, and normally it is slower at first because you haven't worked the lube in. After you lube it I would play around with it for a while on the same tensions as it was. Afterwords if you think it needs to be loosened, do it. Don't worry if you're pieces don't look wet. And stuff doesn't absorb into plastic. If you feel you need more lube, then lube it. It doesn't matter if the pieces look wet or not. If you feel you need more lube, then lube it. Only apply a little bit at a time if you think it needs more lube, as you risk over lubing it

Hello, what kind of cheap lube can i get at walmart that i can use on Moyu Weilong v2? I was also wondering whether i should get CRC Heavy Duty or CRC Food Grade.

Go for CRC Heavy Duty the red can. It will be found in the automotive section with the other engine oils.

Look for silicone oil. Traxxas is a good brand.

I yet haven't found Traxxas at Walmart.

Just a quick lube question - About how much lube is needed to lube an Aolong v1, Aosu, and a dayan 2x2? And what Lube would you recomend that is not very expensive? (I like faster cubes... Haven't lubed any puzzle yet so far, so I'm quite the noob at it...)

Probably to simplify my question:
What's a pretty good lube that I can buy for a good price (as in under $15 preferably...) that makes my cube faster...

very little, for all of that probably only like 1cc and thats stretching it. go with Lubix or Thecubicle-blue lubicle.

Ok. Thanks a lot for the replies! Looks like I'll be getting the Lubicle Blue lube! I assume it comes with the green dispensing tip. Right?

It should, mine did. and if it doesn't their customer service is extremely nice so if you told them you didn't receive one they would send one for free.

Also I don't know if you have ever ordered from them but there free shipping is very fast so if you pay more then $10 you get fast and free shipping. I live in Washington and they send out of New York, after processing I usually get what i order in 3-4 days.

Wow. I have an order currently placed (before the lube order) for a Aosu and a Dayan 2x2 with the free stickers special (should've ordered the lube before the special ended as well... whatevs), and the orders are still processing (3 or 4 days after the order... All the stuff I ordered were in stock, and still are in stock...) I wonder which is going to ship first... the lube or the cubes... :)
