The problem isn't being dirty, the problem is lacking lubrication. Have you lubed it?

Well since this happened I lubed it with some car oil I had laying around since I don't have any more silicone but it felt really greasy and strange so I cleaned it out. Once I get some more silicone ill update you but thanks for the tip :)

So, you took the core apart? See how well the core turns now when you take the pieces out (try holding two opposite centers and then flicking the others centers with your finger to see if it spins well). If it doesn't spin much, you know your core is the problem. Check to make sure your tensioning is even and loose enough (remember you don't want to tighten it all the way). Even without lube, a Sulong should turn ok (I have a bunch of them that I use for teaching).

The core does turn pretty good so I don't think that is the problem. I really think it is the friction between the pieces when they turn... It is just way to smooth and very sticky and sluggish even though it is completely clean. The tension are good and it rarely popped so I am almost 100% sure it is the friction but I am not seeing how lubing will help as it doesn't feel very dry but more like sticky and sluggish. But thanks anyway :)

All of the SuLongs I use are very dry, but turn very nicely. There's no residue from whatever you used to clean it?

Well I can only imagine there is a small amount of soap in the pieces but it sure doesn't look like it if there is.

Best lube for a Shengshou 6x6?

I have a shengshou 6x6 and it was completely terrible out of the box. After breaking it in a little bit, the cube has made a very slight improvement. I have tried luring it with crc, but that did absolutely nothing. I want to know which lube is the best lube for this cube. I have heard that maru lube is the best, lube for the shengshou 6x6, but is that true?

Are you sure it's loose enough? When you took the core apart and put it back together you could have possibly screwed the screws in too far. Try loosening them and then see how the cube feels.

Yeah im pretty sure. The cube still pops in this tension and any looser it will pop all the time. I also thought that was the problem but im pretty sure it isn't. Thanks anyway!

I have a couple of question!
1) How to lube 3x3 with Traxxas 50K
2) How long does it stay on the cube
3) If you have Traxxas, how much cc/ml bottle do you have?
4) Is the effect of the lube instant, or I have to do and avg100?
5) I have a 50 cc/ml bottle. Can you predict how long it will last?
6) I have 30K and 50K. Should I lube pieces with 30K or 50K?

Thats It. Thanks in advance to anyone replying!

1) How to lube 3x3 with Traxxas 50K: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7PYHvZtehfo
2) How long does it stay on the cube: Everlasting
3) If you have Traxxas, how much cc/ml bottle do you have?: Most traxxas bottles are 59 ml
4) Is the effect of the lube instant, or I have to do and avg100?: Depends on how much you use on what cube.
5) I have a 50 cc/ml bottle. Can you predict how long it will last?: You can lube about 500 cubes with that much.
6) I have 30K and 50K. Should I lube pieces with 30K or 50K?: 30k

just get the blue lubicle, its good for all around. don't listen to people that tell you to use all kinds of differnt weights on one cube. it really dose not do anything.

Zhanchi is gummy (lubix)

Recently I purchased a stickerless Zhanchi and Lubix. after lubing my stickerless Zhanchi, I lubed my stickered Zhanchi with the same amount of lubix, and it had a ridiculous gummy feeling. It is now worse than my rubicks brand 3x3. So I cleaned it vigorously and then reassembled and lubed. And it is still gummy! I have no idea what to do! Any help would be greatly appreciated
