1. How long does it take to wear off the effects of Silicone Diff. oil?
That depends on how many solves you do and how often you use the cube :)

2. And also I have a FIII which came prelubricated. Now it isn't feeling as fast as before. I am planning to apply Diff. oil. Do I have to clean the cube before applying it?
That also depends on how much of the old stuff is still in there. If there is a lot I wipe the pieces completely clean or I run the risk of overlubing. If it's only a speck or so, then I just add the diff. oil.

1. I do around 50 solves / day.

2. It came "prelubricated" at the time of my purchase. When I bought it, I remember that inner layers didn't seem like it was lubed. Also I have no experience with cubes lubed with silicone stuff. This was my second cube after Rubik's brand which I used to lubricate with vegetable oil. To me FIII cube's inner layers appear as clean.

3. I also need advice about cleaning. Previously I put all pieces with core of my Rubik's brand inside dishwasher and after that some weird spring noise is coming out. I think putting the core inside dishwasher is not a good idea as springs get bad with water. Correct me if I am wrong.

I've been cleaning my entire cube (incl. core + screws + springs) at my sink with water almost for a long time and I think they do not affect the performance IMO. What I could suggest you is try lubing the screws/springs so that the friction between the spring and screw is reduced, eliminating the spring noise (if that's what your problem is).

50k For Core and 30k for pieces?

Since traxxas 50k is gummy (as I hear some say), will putting 50k on the core and 30k on the pieces be better? So if 30k gives you a really fast cube, wouldn't it be better to add 30k to the pieces instead of 50k? 50k is still on the core though. Or could you just mix the two lubes for the pieces?

Certainly an interesting idea. One could also infer possibly that mixing the two weights evens it out a little bit, although I may be incorrect.

Traxxas 50k is godly, well it made my cubes really, really nice. I've used lubix before but there is probably no difference. If anything traxxas made them better and I did lube the same cubes. For the price and the insane amount of lubricant you get I will always recommend people go traxxas.

So I need opinions of people that have used 30/50k. Which do they think is faster? Also, it would be great if you could list the pros and cons of 30 and 50k. Please answer if you've used both. c: Oh yeah, and I'd be greatful if you'd tell me what kind of person would like 30/50k. Like if someone who liked a fast cube should get __ lube.
Please only reply if you've used both though. Thanks in advanced!

50k: Pros: just like lubix, and apparently lubix is the best.

Cons: i guess its gummy?

I've heard that Jigaloo and/or CRC Silicon slowly eat away at your pieces. Is that true? If not, are there any disadvantages to each of those two lubricants?

This is true, and i can testify to this (happened to me, its not substantial, but its there). Obvious disadvantages are this and that they aren't as fast and good as other lubes. These lubes also make cubes sticky at first sometimes. But for a beginner its good, as i used it. (now i don't)

where is the best place to buy traxxas 50k or 30k from the uk?
ebay have them for around £4 but its from hong-kong so it will take a while to arrive... any others?

I got it from one of the online model stores, i think it was modelsport.co.uk. UK based and it arrived in a couple of days.

I cleaned out my Zhanchi today (boy what a dirty mess is inside cubes) and lubed it with:

Right now the cube feels gummy smooth. But I normally use HR 260 solicone spray and I think I will stick with the spray. It feels faster to me.

Yeah.. I once made a vid on that.. keeping the cube clean, espcially with cats around.. and there I went and opening it up finding hair of me.. more hair of me.. more of me.. I should blame me not the cats LOL
