If it's fine, no problem, leave it that way.
Otherwise, you can disassemble it and clean it out.
I suggest a tissue for lube, it works really well on silicone oil. Cotton swabs are great for hard-to-reach parts.

When relubing make sure to use just a bit on each piece of hardware, overlubing the core can slow your cube down a lot.
If you do it properly it does help though.

Maru lube seems to almost evaporate from my cube after a few days and a bit of use. I love it when it actually is in my cube, but is there any way to make it stay? I was thinking about putting maru and weight 3 from the cubicle together.

I also use Maru, mostly because it is the only one I can easily find (on Lightake). I guess I could get diff oil in some RC car store but Maru works very well and the bottle I bought looks like is going to last for ages so...

You are right that when you apply it the cube is completely changed with one droplet, two will make it godly for some dozens of solves.

Only problem with Maru is that when it dries out it leaves behind some solid white deposits in the pieces. So, today, after using it like 4 or 5 times in my current main (a ChiLong) which I have been using for 3 months at like 100-solves a day, I decided to take it apart, clean all the pieces with a cotton fabric, put it all together againg and lube it.

As I had cleaned it I decided to put 3 droplets on it and now the cube feels better than ever. It is perhaps too fast for me, turning effort is like... nothing. I feel capable of breaking my PB, hehehe.

Just one question. Do you guys think this cleaning process is something worth doing every once in a while when using Maru? Would using Diff Oil be better and would avoid me the cleaning? Also, as Maru does not seem proper for the core I don't know how to get rid of the spring noises, not that they make me mad or anything but any idea how to address that?

Should I buy the Jig-a-loo,Maru,or heavy duty silicone service for Shengshou 4x4,5x5

I'm buying a shengshou 4x4 and a shengshou 5x5 from speedcubeshop.com
I want them to do a lubrication service that costs $5.00.

I can pick between Jig-a-loo, Maru lube, or CRC Heavy duty silicone lubrication services. Which one is best for the Shengshou 4x4 and shengshou 5x5?

NOTE: Their Lubix and Traxxas services are only for 3x3. So please don't recommend Lubix or Traxxas. And also I don't know how to lube 4x4 and 5x5's so that's why I'm buying the service.

You could just go to a local store and buy Traxxas or any silicone based lubes for about the same price or around it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PLS6ZciN8S8 here's a tutorial on lubing higher order cubes. If you don't want to do it yourself then I would suggest Maru lube.

I changed my mind. I'll lube it by myself. Which lube from the cubicle is the best for the Shengshou 4x4 and Shengshou 5x5? Or should I get lubix

What is the best lube for a Dayan Zhanchi? I average about 22 seconds and i think lube is the next step. Im on the cubicle.us and i would like to stay there, but if there is an amazing one somewhere else, then alright. Something good for the center and something good for between the outer pieces please.

Thank you
