Work on these things -

1) Lookahead
2) sub 3 cross
3) watching fast cuber's videos
4) cool fingertricks, use what is fastest for you
5) using empty slots in F2L and learn algs for bad cases.
6) try making not more than 5 rotations during F2L and 0 for LL.
7) partial edge control
8) occasionaly practice your LL algs and try for a sub 5 LL everytime.

What ilikecubing said but also do a reverse r u r' (where that is on the back of the cube) to insert a pair (i can't explain it well but youll figure out). Its fast and you can see other slots easier.

F2L Algs

Hey guys.
I bought my Lubix GuHong, it's pretty decent, but do you guys think I should stick with my Original Cube for practicing? because I might end up as clumsy as hell with the GuHong.

Another thing.
My F2L time is about. 15~25 seconds every time.
I use look ahead, and I can now track 1 edge easily, and most of the time, I can match it up with it's corner right after I have inserted the pair before.

Do you guys suggest I learn some algs for my F2L?

What agls do you suggest?
I have tested out the longest cases, but to me, most cases seem the same length in moves.

Thanks.

for my alg (R' F R F') R U' R' U R U' R' U2 R U' R' (15 moves) i got 1.18 after two tries (12.71 TPS)

for yours R2 U2 F R2 F' U2 R' U R' (9 moves) the best i got after many tries was 1.91 (4.71 TPS)

I prefer mine but I'd be interested if you could get a short video showing how you execute it, if it's at least as fast as mine.

I prefer mine.

It mainly depends on what finger tricks you use right?

Yes, my alg is composed of 4 sexy move triggers which are blindingly fast. Also it's mostly quarter turns (and my hand is in the right place to do U2 double flick for the one half turn.) His alg has more akward F turns in my opinion and more half turns, also it contains no sexies :(

i just learn algs for the ones i find hard doing it intuitive
mostly the ones in the thread already...
Have a look at badmephisto's f2l fingertricks... they help to get fast and teach you some important basics

I found a way to execute his very fast, and I'll make a video of it if you'd like.
