He’s averaging 35 sec and yes two look pll ie corners then edges. He wants to know how to get faster.
Considering he knows 4lll you should see what cases he uses a lot of moves and rotations on. Then go to j perms document and tell him the alg. Don't just tell him the alg, show him what it does.

He still can only barely do f2l.
I still don't have my G perms down and still use 2-look OLL but I am nearing sub-15. I would say teach him full intuitive F2L. Also, it would be a good idea to teach him efficient ways of solving cross. It will give him a basic understanding of how pieces move and beginners are usually very inefficient with cross.

How do I solve these two F2L cases?

Case 1 facing blue front and solving the blue-red pair into the front-right slot.
Case 2 facing green front and solving the blue-red pair into the back-left slot.

Case 1: L F2 L' F2
Case 2: (U2) R U2 R' L' U' L
edit: realized you wanted case 2 for back left slot. alg for that case is (U) L' U L U L U L'

I was confused as to why the first alg didn't work. We have to start with a (U'). Thanks for the algs but I have two more thing to ask.

For case 1, what finger tricks do you use for the F2 at the end? Do you regrip your left hand at the end just before F2 or you regrip your right hand before starting the alg?

Do you use the same alg for case 2 when you are facing blue front (front right slot)? If yes, then how do you finger trick the alg? I can't do the U moves fast enough.

Also, thanks for the algs.

fingertricks:
L F2 L' F2: for first F2 i doubleflick with left hand, for the second F2 i do right index F + left thumb F' combined (tricky at first but fast)
R U2 R' L' U L: left doubleflick U2, right index push U
L' U L U L U L': right index for first U, left index push for second, right index third

I noticed speedcubedb added cases for all slots which is cool to see. For ultra completeness, they should have every possible slot to insert in and slot free.

also what do you guys think of this
not sure it's faster than triple sexy or triple inverse sexy. it's 7 moves but 4 of the moves are double turns

This alg is the best. I can get 0.42 with this alg compared to triple inverse sexy which i struggle to get sub 0.55. However knowing ZBLS, OLS, etc for this case is definitely worth it and so i suggest to use multiple algs

The alg is fast, It's just sune with R2's. Super Sune is a pog alg
