50 second solver

Hey guys, new to this and was wondering if you guys could offer some advice. Im about a 50 second solver usually getting around 53.(single PB:39.81) My cross is ok i think, 6-8 seconds, My best part is f2L with an average of like 23-25 last layer is 13-15 seconds, im shakey. How do I get better from here? My times have gone from like 1:05+ down to where im at now in the past month but ive been at a stop still. What do you recommend I focus on and get better at? Also I think i turn really slow, like i can fingertrick fairly well and theres a kid on my bus that can go supaspeed but he still uses the beginners method so im faster but hes atleast 2x faster tps than me. ( im using a Yuxin Fire broken in very well.) Thanks for reading if you got this far and if you could comment what you guys think it would be greatly apreciated.:tu

Do you solve cross on bottom and do you practice with a 15 second inspection? Also, start learning to use look ahead.

No, cross on top. ill have to practice on bottom. yeah i use inspection to an extent to where I know what pieces i need to move and where to move them

Switch to cross on bottom, the sooner the better. Also try to influence other pieces while inserting edges so that your cross is more efficient (always 8 moves or less). Keep practicing intuitive F2L and try to make sure that as soon as you see a pair you are able to do it blind (you can even practise blind F2L solving) because that is an enabler to do other things at the same time, basically start looking for your next pair (lookahead). If you cannot do your current pair mindlessly it is very difficult to search for the next one at the same time, which generates long pauses and make you slow. Don't be obsessed with being fast (high TPS), better be efficient and develop good lookahead. For LL just start learning full PLL and later, progressively, full OLL and drill your algs. Also check how fast your recognition is. It's maybe a little too soon but you can also check 2-sided PLL recognition as soon as you finish learning full PLL. Also try different algs before you commit to learning any specific one for each case or you'll have to change algs later (happened to me).

With some practice in all these areas, in some months you can get down to sub-30 easily.

Good, simple tutorial for CFOP?

So i'm about done with doing layer by layer, and i can't find a good tutorial for CFOP, its all either too complicated or doesn't have enough explanation, do you guys know where i can find a good tutorial for CFOP?

(And yes i have looked around quite a bit, and i just can't manage to find one)

Search "ParadoxCubing CFOP" on YT. It's a really nice explaination and tutorial of the CFOP method. Another suggestion is that don't learn algorithmic F2L, because IMO its much easier to look-ahead(You'll learn about it in some time ;) ) in intuitive F2L.

Algorithmic F2L is better to lookahead with.
