Well this thread should help me be consistently sub20. Been cubing for months and still slow :P

If anyone know some of the best tutorials that would help me out! Thanks

Generally you want to have your split times like 3 sec cross, 13 sec F2l + cross, 3-4 sec OLL, 3-4 sec PLL. Time yourself and look at your splits. Then see which area you need to practice the most on. Learn full PLL if you haven't already. And practise

Sorry I forgot to thank you :P. Thanks for the advice man, it helped me get my best ao12 in a day of 25 seconds. And now because of your(and others') advice I've been getting sub-30 ao12 :D.

I've been trying to look-ahead. I think I'm getting better at it. I need you guys' suggestions and feedback for getting better. Feedback please.

Its hard to tell, but your cross seemed pretty inefficient in terms of move count. Maybe 12-14 moves? It should be 6-9 every time. And maybe start learning full OLL

It was actually a pretty bad cross :p. I'll try to improve on my cross. Anyway, how was my look-ahead and F2L? And thanks for the feedback and should I upload maybe another video? And if yes so should I upload a single solve or an ao5?

sure, and average of 5 is always more helpful than single solve, for instance maybe your crosses are particularly good and i wouldn't have known from that video. as for lookahead, you can't really do anything else to improve it except utilize inspection and practice, but it was fine for your speed anyhow. It's not something you should actively work on like cross or OLL, because it will get better with time.

As for the positives, your OLL and PLL TPS is nice

Ok thanks for the feedback :). Will upload ao5 video when I get time. And I'll say that my cross is not very good. So you'll have to bare with me in the next video :P. And as for OLL I know around 12 OLLs including all edges oriented. And this was my first ever video so I was really nervous so it might have not been a very good solve. And also I was a little uncomfortable while solving because I had to make sure that my cube was visible throughout the video. Anyway am I doing good? (Cubing since July=4 months)

Nice speed for just 4 months, really. I liked your LL TPS too, probably better than mine after 2 years of cubing (and still barely sub-20). You must have practiced a lot during these 4 months to have the stickers so heavily peeled already :) Keep the good job and you'll be sub-20 in no time. Try to focus in fully planning your cross during inspection so that you can start tracking your first F2L pair while you mindlessly solve the cross.

Wow, seriously is my TPS in LL faster than you? Yes I have my 3x3 in my pocket at all times. I try to plan out my cross but I can't just get to remember where the 4th piece will end up :( . And I'm trying to solve slow now so that I can track my F2L pairs. Thanks for the feedback :D .

My best T-perm is like 1.5 seconds. My worst PLLs (like V and Ns) are more than 3. You can just compare and tell me who's faster but that PLL looks very smooth for your speed, really.

It's always nice to help someone :) (Makes me feel like I'm not the only one that's not Feliks speed)

The pause in your first F2L from your cross was quite long too. Do the same thing that was mentioned previously with F2L cases with the cross (Think about the cross in inspection then look at the F2L pieces instead of your cross). And the other thing I'm going to say is to learn how to insert pairs on the back. For one of your cases (the orange-blue), you set it up then cube rotated to put it in. You can also do this without cube rotating using r' U' R U M'.

Your LL is pretty fast but you might want to look at learning to recognise your PLLs from just looking at two sides. You took quite a while to recognise that it was a J perm.

Your solve time was 25.28, but your time without pauses was about 18sec. This means your TPS is already very good, all you need to work on is improving your lookahead and recognition.

(Nice drone (on your desktop) by the way. It's small and nice. How much did it cost?)

Yea I know that my transition from cross to F2L is Weilong :P. But that's the problem with me, I can't seem to track my cross pieces however hard I try :(. And about that orange-blue pair, IDK why didn't insert it in the back :P. I can recognize MOST PLLs by looking at 2 sides. Uploading a new video right now. Will post it here also. BTW that drone was given as a gift for me so IDK about the pricing. And BTW is the camera angle okay?

You might want to put the cube more in the middle of the screen and zoom in a bit.

That's even faster than me... I can only manage a 1.6 Tperm. I can 2.2 my V perm though and my 2.8 sec N. 1.69/1.78 sec R perm, 1.28 H perm, 1.7 Z, 1.47/1.28 J, 1.15/1.35 A perm, 1.69 E perm. My slowest would be G perms, just under 3 too.

Those would be my best. I also turn inaccurately though and cause the cube to catch

Here you guys go. I tried to solve slow and look ahead in this ao5. Sorry if the camera angle is bad in this video too. Please do watch through the whole video and please feedback.

(Yes I was inconsistent ** in this ao5 xD)

You should definitely work on your cross. Your cross solutions seem somewhat inefficient and hard to execute. Also, work on your PLL execution.

Lol hard to inefficient xD . And other than that? Is F2L okay or should I work on look-ahead? And what can I do to improve my cross? And yeah, I'm pretty bad at G-Perms, failed the G-Perm at the 4th solve pretty bad. Thanks for the feedback anyway!
