So, I have learned 2L-OLL, and am learning the last alg for what Badmephisto says is two look PLL. But I still struggle to maintain around 30 seconds. I just started doing upside down cross(Which I'm not succeeding at), and am learning a couple f2l tricks to reduce cube rotations. I will do an Ao12, but it will most likely be with a bad camera, and probably in a bad position.
Thanks in advance!

Sure! Still suffering that temporary slowdown? I think the best thing you can do is a video. I'm sure we can give you more precise feedback with that. So, looking forward to watching you solve!

Yeah, I'm still having issues. I thought it was just a blip but it's still there. I'm getting some solve times of nearly a minute now! And I haven't been that slow for a long time. I don't really know why. I can still get quick times sometimes, but overall I seem to be very sloppy lately. I will try to video myself over the weekend and upload. Thanks for the reply, I appreciate the feedback.

So, I practice and practice, but I just can't seem to be able to see my first pair in inspection. How should I go about working on that.
1. I solve my cross on bottom, and can do it BLD
2.I am color neutral, however, I prefer certain colors, as before I was color neutral, I solved on those colors.
3. My cross averages about 3 seconds, and 7-9 moves.

I know I should work on my cross, and lower its move count, and see how pieces affect each other. How should I work on that?

A 3-second cross is pretty good. I think your F2L is the problem; see what's going on there.

well I get my whole F2L done around 15 seconds, but use ZB/VHLS in an intuitive form of sledgehammers, hedgeslammers, and different pair insertions so I dont have to learn more OLL. :)
However, My whole LL is about 3 seconds.

Turn slowly during cross. If you can't see your first pair in inspection, then try to see the first pair while solving the cross. Try to choose an easy pair to track during inspection and look at where they go during cross. Then solve that pair and continue as normal.

Really? That's very fast for someone your speed. 3 second LLs is normal for someone sub-10. Try turning slower and looking ahead more during F2L.

yeah, because of the ZB/VHLS style of the last F2L pair, I have 7 OLL's, and My recog+execution is a little under 1.5 seconds, and I have all PLL's sub 2 for both recognition and execution.

Back when I averaged around 40 seconds, I said "screw F2L" and practiced and practiced my LL and nothing else. Really wish I didn't...

To be honest (but it is impossible to say for sure without some example solves on video) I think that partial edge control with the last pair could in fact be slowing you down, compared with just normal F2L + full OLL. Unless you are going to learn COLL to limit PLL to EPLL (but if all your PLLs are so fast it will not be worth it either) or are aiming to skipping OLL altogether, just edge control is not worth it in my opinion for 2H. It may be worth it for OH but also in conjunction with COLL so that you can avoid the worse PLL cases and just get the EPLLs, which can be solved 2gen and, hence, very fast for OH.

In fact there are great OLL cases that are among the fastest to execute that don't have all edges oriented, like the H case, the T and P cases, the fat sune ones (the 2 squares and the 2 lightning bolts which are the inverse of those), some of the small L ones ... and many others.

Of course, anybody correct me if I'm wrong, there are many cubers much more savvy than I am on these topics.

Yep, you might want to use less VHLS (and use the shortest cases only). Most VHLS cases end up being too long to be practical. I use the bar and dot cases for both R U R' and R U' R', then L cases for only R U' R'. You might have to learn more OLL's, but it's worth it.

I would tell you to get your F2L down to 12 seconds, but your LL is fast enough that you don't have to speed up your F2L as much... for now. Still work on F2L, though.

Trying to be sub-20?

I average 24-25 seconds. I use intuitive F2L, and I can do cross on white and yellow, and I can do blue but I'm about 5 seconds slower on average with it. I know and use full PLL, and I use 2-look OLL but I also know all the dot cases, the T cases, and a few others. Here is a link to an average of 5 from me:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UnDejpOTHLI

by the way my main is the Gans 356 (The newest 3x3x3 by Gans)

Work on being able to solve your cross BLD. I noticed in your cross, that you had to pause to solve your cross. Also, work more on recognition, and execution speed. On PLL, solve it as fast as you can, as you have nothing more to look-ahead for. Although people say slow down and look-ahead, that isnt very specific. Go as slow as you possible can, so you have no pauses. If that means turning at 1 TPS, DO IT. then slowly turn faster and faster until you cant turn any faster, then work on TPS

Hey guys. I'm cashis, you've probably seen me around the forums as I do post often. I average mid 11s using CFOP, although I do dabble in other methods every now and then. CFOP is definitely the most comfortable of the methods I've used, and its what I want to be sub 10 with.
Unfortunately, I have no way of recording my solves. Therefore, I'll have to give you guys my best explanation of my solves that I can without a video. Firstly, I'm CN. Secondly, I'm terribly inconsistent. I dont know what it is or why it happens, but I'm either high 13s or mid 11s. Its strange, but I cant help it and I only refer to my times as the good times. Due to this, I guess I seem a lot faster than I actually am, even though I am sub 12 ( usually). I'll give you my splits now, though warning, this will be unorganized.
My cross usually takes around 2 seconds, usually less.
My F2L takes around 6, always under 8.
LL is normally sub 3, but always sub 4.
there you go. I'm not gonna worry ab OLL/PLL splits.
I know ZBLL U, and a few 1LLLs and COLLs, but thats just from picking them up (besides ZBLL U, I learned that for the heck of it).
I myself personally think the biggest problem is cross to F2L transition. Its so hard. I can always find my first pair on scrambles with <4 move crosses, but with longer crosses, I'm left to chance for my first pair, and I dont like that. I've been making a conscious effort to track pairs, but I can rarely find my first pair in inspection, and I usually have to significantly slow down to find my first pair, which I feel hinders me more than helps because my cross ends up taking 5 seconds or more, which isnt worth seeing my first pair.
Or is it? I'm assuming I should just stick with this, and continue to track first pair until I can do it in inspection.
Also, side note, is last slot stuff worth it? I'm not good at look ahead between LS and OLL, and I barely ever look at the pieces before I finish my last slot. Also, I'm terribly inefficient at learning algorithms. I only know a few LS tricks and stuff. Is it worth knowing more?

Why am I not improving. Help needed ASAP

Like the title says I want to know why you guys think im not improving. I put soooo much effort and hard work into improving on 3x3 but im getting no where! Im just so frustrated. I learned 4ll, I learned advanced f2l, learning advanced cross getting good enough to incorporate it in my solves, and Im learning rotationless f2l im on a scale of 1-10 a 7 at it. I know all of this and Im stuck in like 40-60 sec solves, but average like 45 secs. Thats NOT where I want to be. Lastly i practice about an hour every day I fluctuate between 40-60 mins. The question remains why am I stuck here. I know that was long but i wanted to be detailed for those of you who read all this I thank you soooooo much.
