PJK, I havent improved in a month. Stuck at 17 seconds. And cubezz is delaying my new cube.
I cant say how much you practice, but I do a daily AO12 and cube at school. Thats all.

I'm stuck around 18 seconds. What should I do?

Come on! Weren't you complaining just a month ago that you seemed to be unable to be sub-20 and asking all the time how to improve? Now I see in your signature an Ao5 of 16.95 and a sub-20 Ao50 or 100 so, how can you possibly be stuck in any way? It's taken me like 4 months to improve my Ao100 from high 25 to low 24, around 1.5 seconds so, are you going to be asking the same question for each and every second? "how can I be sub 17?, how can I be sub 16....?" Why don't you tell me how you managed to come down from 20+ to 17-18 in only a month, perhaps I can learn something from you. So, let me tell you: You're NOT stuck!!! :)

That is true. I am insanely stupid and impatient. When I started cubing, I thought you could get sub 10 in a month lol :) I guess I'm not stuck then. Answer to your question:
What I really did was turn faster. I knew that if I didn't get sub 20, I would be really :(. So I focused on recognizing the pairs faster. I stopped cubing for a week and then started again. People say that look ahead is the way to sub 20. But you don't need it. Look ahead was the main reason I was stuck on 22. I couldn't look ahead well enough to complete F2L in less than 10 seconds and thus I turned faster. Now that is the problem. I turn faster than I have to, so I'm going to practice calm turning from now on.

I would like someone to tell me what my "weak point" is in my solves, so I can work on it more.
Here is a breakdown of my times:
Cross: 1-4 seconds
F2L: 8-11 seconds
OLL: 3-6 seconds
PLL: 2-4 seconds
Total: 14-25 seconds (I have a pretty wide range, but most of my times are in the range of 18-22 seconds, and I average between 20 and 21 seconds normally. I am trying to break the line of 20 second average, but me getting a sub-20 isn't very uncommon, I'd say about 2 in 5 solves)
One more comment: I know that practice will help me, and that I don't need to learn full OLL, and all of that, but I already know most of OLL (46/57 algs) and I do practice a decent amount daily (probably at least 50 solves on weekdays, 150 on weekends) so please don't just say "practice." I know that I should practice. If you tell me how I should practice (things like "do lots of solves, then learn things, then do more solves" then I would appreciate that.

You could probably make quite fast progress on your cross. 4 seconds is very slow. Plan the whole thing out before starting any solve, and maybe practice blindfold cross solves.

Long-term, you'll have to improve your F2L, but it's decent at the moment.

Before around 20-25 seconds it is quite easy to shave a bit of time of your average. But at 20-25 it takes a bit longer. It was the same for me. Keep at it. The more practice you do the faster you will improve.

Do untimed solves where you focus on ZERO PAUSING during cross and F2L stages. If you do that, I personally guarantee that you will gain huge lookahead prospective and will become sub-20.
When I was barely sub-30, I had 6 sec LL on average. My LL has improved maybe a second but I am sub-20 now. The only thing I did was lookahead practice via pauseless slow solving. Drop 5 seconds for me in 2 weeks ish. Also learn Full OLL; go here http://algdb.net/

Whenever I get stuck, I just take a break and practice another event for a couple of weeks. When I come back and practice 3x3 again, I get really awesome time jumps. Try it! Also try full OLL, you don't need it to be sub 20 though, I average about 18.5 and only know like 2/3 of them.
