Is it better to try and succeed at solving a 2x2 BLD before attempting 3BLD?
Or is there no advantage/it's not helpful?

Bunch of good questions.
A few questions about BH corners, sorry for asking so much:
1. In byu's tutorial, he says "We see that LFU and FRU are interchangeable with U', and URB and FRU are interchangeable with R'." Does it matter if your interchange is U (instead of U') and R (instead of R')? I think it works even though you have to use a different A, but I just want to make sure.
2. Does the interchange (1 move one, not the 3 move insertion) have to interchange the BUFFER with a another piece? Or any two pieces in the cycle? (URB is my buffer)
3. If so, can you please give an example? (or just the cycle so I can try to figure it out)
4. Can you please give an example of using a pure commutator when the cycle uses pieces that are not all in the U layer? (as in some in the D layer) (or just the cycle so I can try to figure it out)
Thank you very much!
On your cycle ULB > RDF > FDL, is the algorithm: R U2 R' D R U2 R' D'? The only thing this is that my buffer is URB, so in the cycle URB > RDF > FDL, in which I don't see how to 3 move insert URB to RDF.
Thanks Noah and Phlippieskezer. One question for Noah... On your cycle ULB > RDF > FDL, is the algorithm: R U2 R' D R U2 R' D'? The only thing this is that my buffer is URB, so in the cycle URB > RDF > FDL, in which I don't see how to 3 move insert URB to RDF.
These corner orientations are going to kill me...
One tip is that when you have a D-layer interchange, your insertion should involve putting a target sticker on the U layer like in the F' of F' U F.
@Mike Hughey: I have read your previous post, but your latest one does help it relate more to my question, thanks. Anyway, I think I'll try what you described. I've never actually done "time attacks" before... It makes sense, although it seems a bit daunting (doing time attacks with 500+ algs...), but I'll try it anyway.
Thanks, or an L U' L', L' U2 L, or F U2 F' with URB buffer in addition to F' U F, correct?
Don't get me wrong - I figure normally you should only be doing 18 (or maybe 36, including the inverses) algs at a time - break it down into small groups to work on at a time. Get them down to 2 1/2 minutes or so, then go to the next group.
I really did do whole time attacks for all BH corners and for all BH edges, but only a few times, and only because I'm weird like that. There's really no need to do them all at once.
On another note, it's what I've been using for a while, but is Roman Rooms (which I use just for edges; audio for corners) good for singles, or should I try something else (and keep my Roman Rooms list for when I MBLD)? It's been serving me fairly well so far (definitely better than sentences did, at least), but was just wondering if it's worth keeping even when/if I get fast at memo.
