Okay, so if I'm using BH/Freestyle corners, and I have parity, what I usually do is shoot the last corner target to URB, so its ULB (buffer) > (last corner target) > URB, then after edges I do M2 (y) T-perm to fix parity. But what if I am at my last corner target and I have another twsited/unoriented corner? What do I do?

i use M2/TuRBo (UBR buffer) and i send the las corner to ULB so i guess its the same... you have to solve parity and then orient the corners...

3-style originating from M2/R2: buffers are DF and DFR, targets (to shoot the buffer piece to in case of parity) are UB and UBR, parity fix is F2 + N-perm.
(I do it differently now btw.)

Beloved N-perm. Thanks for answering.
Also, will you be attending Serbia Open? (http://serbiaopen.comuf.com/)
Few of your countrymen has already registered and it would be great if you'd come. :)

I watched a vid from ZaneChannel, and for corner I don't quite understand. How do I know before hand if i am gonna have a corner parity?

EDIT: One more question: Is pochman good for beginners?

EDIT 2: Don't worry anymore I fully understand now

Same as edges, create letter-pair images. So GNHDLFI becomes (as imagined picture) "the HaDes (anicent world's god of the underworld), holds the GuN in his LeFt hand, with 10 Inches long smoke trail from barrel"

So all corners in one scene. It probably takes some time to come up with such a scenes fast, but it leaves in your memory for days. :)

I don't think there is a parity. On a 3x3, if you do a quarter turn, it does a 4-cycle on edges and a 4-cycle on corners. That's (even) parity. On megaminx if you do a fifth turn, it does a 5-cycle on edges and a 5-cycle on corners, which is not parity (well, it's odd parity, which is "no parity" in cubing-words)

Well actually a 5-cycle is an even permutation, not an odd one. (yes it's counterintuitive). The parity of a permutation is determined by the parity of the number of elementary transpositions (i.e. swaps of two pieces) it is made of; a N-cycle is made of N-1 elementary transpositions, and thus has the parity of N-1, not the parity of N.

Anyway, you're rignt in saying there is no parity on the megaminx. As a result, it's not possible to use OP, at least not the same way as on the cube; the closest to OP you can get is with double 2-cycles, with a few 3-cycle algs to handle the bad cases (a bit like M2/R2 on the cube, but the basic alg will be more complicated than juste M2 or R2).

Thanks, when I posted I was hoping I didn't have that backwards >.<

How are you solving corners? It is probably the case that what you're doing to corners isn't 'edge-safe'.

as long as your setups only use R, F, and D moves, your edges shouldn't be getting scrambled

i need help with memo edges i can do corners but when ever i take the blindfold off the edges are completely scrambled.
HELP!

You have to make sure that you undo the setup moves for edges and corners the exact OPPOSITE of how you brought the piece into the target location. Maybe try to solve the edges and corners sighted for a while to be sure that you are doing the algs and setups properly.

For 4BLD edges, can I use the 3 cycles r U R U' r' U R' U', r U' R U r' U' R' U, there "backwards algs, and there left equivalent for solving it? Are there other alg's I should know beside the parity alg?

I can not for the life of me stand M2 or r2 and I like TuRBo which is also 3-cycle so I feel as if whatever the hell this is called is better for me.

Yes

Why...?

It's too mainstream. JK

Because I don't like the setup moves in M2. At the time of looking at solving method that are faster than OP, I was able to grasp my hands around the the controlled 3-cycles of TuRBo rather than the (in my opinion)oddness of M2 which I still do not grasp very well after going through a lot of the resources for it.

Although I hold no ground in blind, I personally think TuRBo setups are easier. Even if they are, its better for me to know the method that is closer to BH even though I never plan on learning it.
