What do you mean by this? More efficient than what?
OK forgive my grammar, i was in a hurry, i just meant the no. of moves u take 4 inserting a pair and dont take too much time doing it.
to others,
Oh, i take around 8 moves for a pair but i take a couple of moves for orienting them so i can put them together. Is this ok or what?

The basic cases (paired, or RUR' setup) require 3 moves. The others depend on how you modify the case to get to one of the basic cases. Normally you try and restrict your setup moves to a few cases- RU'R' turnovers, RU2R' setups, or mismatched RUR's. These cases require about 8 moves to go from case to solved. But doing slow solves will help you reduce your move count by identifying how to setup easy cases during your current pair.

I usually bring them to an RUR' OR U2RU'R' case almost always except for a couple of sticky cases and i get the RUR' setup as such very rarely. I find it very difficult to watch two pieces simultaneously and so watch out for a single piece, often an edge. Is this lookahead possible only with practice or is a shortcut available? 'cause i dont get too much time for practice
sry if this question is stupid as most people say only practice is the way to success

A LITTLE bit of f2l help

Hey so i have been doing f2l for a few days now i it is going on really good all thanks to badmephisto
But there are a few cases about which i need help

1.When the edge piece is at the proper place and the corner isn't
2.When the corner is in the proper place and the edge isn't
3.When the corner is in the proper place but isn't flicked properly

I need a bit of help regarding the 3 instances
Now about the 2 instance should i use the beginners method to insert the edge but the beginners method takes a lot of time
In the 3 instance should I bring the corner piece at the top and then align properly and again insert it in the slot?

And in the end i would like a bit help with improving my time
I know i need to practice i am already looking ahead but is there something else that I need to know that can improve my time?

Hey guys. I'm stuck averaging 12-13 because I have excellent look ahead and TPS, but my move count is absolutely crappy, anywhere from high 60-low 80. What I'm wondering is, in a typical fast people solves, what is generally the f2l movecount? Thanks!

Feliks does something around 25-30 moves on his faster averages (Not including cross moves, just the pair insertions). I suppose trying to average low-30 moves on F2L pair insertions only would be a good goal.

I average something like 35 on pair insertions and I consider myself as terrible in terms of lookahead/efficiency. All my Fullstep PBs infact had a F2L count of like 20-25.

Here are some ideas:

1.
RUR'U' RUR'U' RUR'U'
R' D' R U' R' D R
R' D' R U R' D R
R U' R' U2 R U' R'
LFL' RU'R'U LF'L'

Btw, if some slots are free, you can use shortcuts here, such as:

D' L'UL D

Try to look for shortcuts yourself. You will appreciate and remember them better if you find them yourself. Play around with the cube a lot, and try to find alternative solutions.

2. Yeah, standard beginners method alg for this are not too great.
F' RUR'U' R' F R
RU'R' F R' F' R
R'UR'D' RU'R' D RU'R

Btw, if some slots are still free, you can use working corner algs here, such as:

(If the FL slot is not solved yet)
D RUR' D'
D RU'R' D'

(If the RB slot is not solved yet)
D' RUR' D
D' RU'R' D

3. If the edge is also in place, I don't actually use an alg for this. I know you can do it with a 7 move sune variation, but I prefer to just dig out the pair with RU'R' or RUR', and then solve it from there.

And like others have said, click around, because there are many site that list all of these. The polish algorithm database has many different algs:

Learn intuitive F2L and decide what you consider a tricky case once you're comfortable with it. Often people find cases with the corner and edge in place but oriented wrongly to be the tricky ones.

No, solve intuitively. You'll work out most of these yourself (honestly, they are all pretty trivial) and in that way learn tricks. You'll also work out how to insert from different angles, mirrors, ...
