be faster

hello.
im solving cube for year. i have dayan zahanci and i know 2look oll and pll and ftl.
and im still solving 3x3 in 35 seconds.
i saw a people that solving cubes for 3 monthes and they faster then me.
how can i be more faster.
my goal is to slove a rbiks cube in 15 second of less.

thank you

1.You can start by practicing how to spell.
2. We can't help you because we don't know your weaknesses. It would be helpful if you post a video.

Improving my 3x3 time

Ok, so at this point I have been cubing for a few months. The first method I learned was CFOP. My current best time is 28.3 which was about a week ago. I know I could easily improve my time just by getting better with f2l and learning a few more algorithms but I was wondering if anyone has some times on just being able to turn the cube faster. You see videos of anyone sub 15 and their hands and almost a blur. Any tips on just getting some extra speed? Atleast other than just practice

See, do NOT turn the cube faster during F2L, work on lookahead instead. On the Last Layer, try turning fast, while not affecting your case recognition. Do this by drilling all your algs 3-5 times, and repeat until you feel you've become faster. Also, get good algs from the Speedsolving Wiki.

Fingertricks will also help you turn faster. Look up jskyler91's video on fingertricks on YouTube.

These are good and helpful!

Honestly, I have times roughly close to yours and I find that if I don't time myself for a long time and just mess around with pairing and different scenarios. I find that improving lookahead drops times dramatically :) When I solve the cube (Take my latest 23.89s single video), I paused quite a bit and had pretty bad lookahead during F2L. If my lookahead was even slightly faster, at least 5 seconds could have been dropped from the solve :) So yes, lookahead is always amazing to practice. Good luck!

Yep! And one more thing: Take Breaks.

Do not do timed solves over and over. Take an hour or two if you have free time, and do slow solves. Pausing for a day might help. Just as Veerexx said above, doing this will drop your times dramatically. Of course, I'm in no position to say this as I am still slow compared to other cubers, but I am sharing this cause it's a personal experience.

All the best!

LL Help [CFOP]

I'm just about sub-20 on CFOP but after doing some times today I noticed that my last layer sucks- it can take as long as 10 seconds. I think this is a big issue since my f2l is usually 12-15 seconds and If I could cut down on LL, sub-20 would be much easier. Can you give me any tips on doing algs faster (especially N and V Plls) or just in general making LL faster?

Learn faster algorithms from the wiki.
Improve recognition by watching videos on how to recognize PLLs better.

Previous Goal: (above)

Goal Partially Accomplished

PLLs I know : Ua|Ub|Z|H|Aa|Ab|Y (from 4LLL), T|Jb|E (new ones learnt) --- 10/21 :D

F2L is pretty good, have got a sub-30 avg5 on cam!

Goal for next Week (March 9 - 16): Get sub-30 consistently

Net Time Saved: -2 Weeks

Goal Partially Accomplished (Have got sub-30 avg50s thrice, but not sure, so partially accomplished)

Sub-30 avg5 on cam, Sub-25 single on cam, 2 sub-20 solves till now.

Net Time Saved: -3 Weeks

New PLLs learnt: F/V + 10 = 12/21

Goal for next week: (March 16-23) Probably learn the rest of the PLLs, also work on F2L and minimizing cube rotations and unnecessary moves. MAYBE aim for sub-25. :D :D

Need help getting faster

I know there are a lot of these threads but of course each case is different so I'm hoping I'll be able to find help here.

I'm trying to get sub-20, my pbs are:
single: 15.73
ao5: 18.84
ao12: 20.38

but the single and ao5 were pretty lucky for me, my average 'average' is about 23 seconds. My f2l averages 15 seconds (though can be as low or high as 9 or 19) and my last layer is about 8 seconds (but ranges from 4 to 11).

With ranges that big, a typical average of 5 for me could contain both a 29 second solve and a 17 second solve. My question is how can I improve? Sub-20 is my goal, but any tips to stop getting those horrendous 25+ times would be great. I know full PLL (though some algorithms I really need to change) and about half the OLL algorithms.

Any useful practice techniques or just advice would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

A lot of the time I think my cross is the worst part of F2L so I'm practising that more often. But if I look ahead more it means slowing down my turns, so I end up with similar times anyway. And as for my last layer I think recognition is the main problem at the minute. I spend too much time doing AUFs and recognising which case both OLL and PLL is.
