So, i've started learning bh corners and all seems to be so clear except one thing.
If i have buffer solved, i should break into new cycle.
But now i have case when my URB (buffer) should be swapped with UBL. So only those two.
What should i do in that case?

UPD:
Leave them swapped. Your edges will have parity. If you have UF buffer, at the end of your memo you will have a single edge target. Make the cycle UF-edge-UB. That will set up a Tperm for parity.

Or if you're smart about it, you can setup to a ZBLL case, or a different PLL.

The same approach can be used for DF buffer.
Ok,thx. That makes a sense. I'll try setuping different PLL's

Okay I would like to know for those who use letter pairs to memo. Do you use letter pairs for corners and edges, edges only, or corners only. If you don't, what other memo method do you use for corner or edge? I'm currently using letter pairs for edges and visual for corners, but visual is very unhelpful for me. Could someone list a few easy memo methods? Or should I use letter pairs for the whole cube and how do I distinguish the stories? Thanks~

I use letter-pair images for edges and audio-pairs for the corners. Flipped edges are memorised visually.

What form of letter-pair memo are you using? Because letter-pairs can be used in a variety of ways.

Letter-pair images: 2 letters are used to create the one image.
Letter-pair words: 2 letters are used to create the one word. These words are used to construct sentences, your letter-pair images can be used as words in sentences.

Audio pairs:
2 letters are used to create the 1 sound/word. Audio memo can be incredibly fast, because the idea isn't to make the memo coherent. The purpose of audio memo is to remember the sound of the memo, it doesn't have to make sense. The problem with audio memo is it's very short term, but this issue can be eliminated by memorising the corners last and executing them first. Monosyllable sounds/words are nice to use, as it reduces the amount of syllables you have to remember.
Sounds become really easy to make, whenever you have 2 consonants, you can just add a random vowel in-between as a filler.

Example: FI+RD+GE+LR = "FI RoD Gee LeR"

Zane - congrats on MUL BLD WR (and thanks for YT tuts/vids, they helped a lot :D)

Q1:
I use Old Pochmann for corners (10-20memo + 15-30s solve for corners) and M2 for edges ( 20-35 sec memo + solve 25-45sec solve).
Which part should I improve? (it seems to me that execution is quite sloooow... :D)

Q2:
How will my times improve depending on the length of the time spent daily practicing bld? I mean, what's approximate period of time after which I should have bld times below 1minute, if practicing, lets say - 45mins/day?

Obviously varies massively between people, partly depending on how naturally talented you are (especially on the memo side of things). But I can say, that with OP and M2 you're going to have to turn pretty fast to get sub1. Either that, or turn moderately fast and have 10 second memo. Unless you already have crazy tps, I'd suggest learning 3-style (speed optimised BH) corners to help you on your way if you're actually serious about averaging sub1.

Currently, I'm using Letter-pair words but I would like to know what do you mean by letter pair "images"? I'm not too entirely sure what it is. Thanks for telling me about the audio pairs! I hope that I'll eventually be able to do blind consistently... I've only had one success so far XP.. By the way, CONGRATULATIONS on the Multi-Blind WR!

Letter-pair images are words/names that can be visualised.

For example, using the letters W+N:
-a letter-pair word could be 'went'.
-a letter-pair image could be 'window'.

Letter-pair images can be applied if you imagine yourself walking along a set route (such as your house). As you walk along, place the images at points (ie. bed, fridge, table etc). Each of these locations can be made more memorable by associating multiple images together, I like to have 2 images interact.

To further enhance the memorability, it helps if the image interactions are really disturbing. Profanity is your best friend with image methods. :tu
By the way, CONGRATULATIONS on the Multi-Blind WR!
Thanks!

I've recently switched my multi sentences memo method to one long sentence. I also refuse to 2pass my memo anymore. Any tips on how I can avoid all the delays in recall I'm getting? I'm taking a bit longer to make it stick in, and also trying to visualize it to aide the memo.

My 2pass is just basically memoing the cube twice. Not a fast review. It was costing me nearly 15 seconds just with that. However delays are tacking a bit of time back on there...

Most of the time, yes. And I memo the first corner pair visually (and only the rest goes in auditory memory), so I can rush through my edge memo while already looking at the first corner pair, thus I'm not even losing any time with that review, really.

PLease Help

Let me put this straight forward. I just suck at memory. But I really want to do BLD, learning algorithms is not an issue, neither is applying them. I currently use old pochmann (though i know how M2 and 3OP work, just need to learn a little algos for them). But the main problem is my memo part, I read articles on various methods(roman rooms, audio memory etc.), but i still use letters. Like generally a 8 move long string for corners and 12-14 for edges. So the thing is, when I have to memorise 3 or 4 letters, i can do that spontaneously. For 8 letters, I speak them once, then recall it 2-3 times, and I can manage. But when it comes to 12 letters, Firstly i have to constantly keep recalling them so that i dont forget them. and when i m done, i spend like 20 more seconds recalling them. In a full solve, remembering 20 such letters just sucks.

Please Suggest what should i do? Should i just keep practising this thing till i get fast at it? Or should i switch my method to something else where i dont need to memorise 26 alphabets. (say i have to memorise digits and i can use audio), or should i make up some system on my own for this? I Dont really bother switching to M2 or any other method , i can learn algs and stuff, but I just want to be decent at BLD.(say around sub3 minutes, which is much much far from what i am currently). Everytime someone sees me cubing and asks me can you do it BLD, all i can say is, yes, but i m very slow, i just dont feel good about it.

I know this post is long, but i genuinely and badly need some help
Thankyou in advance
Just let me know what memo and method will be the best for me.

That doesn't matter, you don't need a good memory, you just need a good memory method.
but i still use letters. Like generally a 8 move long string for corners and 12-14 for edges.
The good thing is you have a lettering scheme, now you just have to use the letters effectively.
Nearly everyone would find it difficult to memorise like this, because not only does this system use audio for the entire cube, it also does absolutely nothing with the letters (ie. no letter-pairs, words, sounds, sentences, images, PAO etc).

Should i just keep practising this thing till i get fast at it?
NO.
Or should i switch my method to something else where i dont need to memorise 26 alphabets.
Yes, you certainly need to put together a nicer memory system. 26 bits of information is the absolute most you'll ever have to memorise.
Although you can't reduce the amount of pieces you have to memorise, you can make it seem shorter by efficiently condensing the information.

So instead of memorising 2 letters separately, you could put them together to make a letter-pair. (eg: FD = FooD)
Just let me know what memo and method will be the best for me.
Other people can recommend methods, but only you can tell what works best for you.

Seeing as you can already audio the entire cube with letters, I think you should keep using audio for at least the corners or edges. But instead of memorising letters by themselves, try pairing them up (letter pairs) to make the 1 word or sound.

Example: Corner memo = FEAXSHCD
This could be memorised as "FEE AX SHop CoDe"

A popular and very fast combination is sentence edges and audio corners.
In order to find your preferred method. You have experiment with various methods and combinations of methods.

Would someone please suggest a good setup move for handling the UL edge when it is flipped? I am starting with old pochmann and I can deal with the flipped edge however, I would rather use a setup move to maintain consistency.

My orientation is blue front, yellow on top, the set up I am looking for is shooting the yellow/orange edge however, doing so when it is orange/yellow in the buffer position (flipped). Thank you in advance!
