Since I only have the Gan standard lube, I don’t really know which feel I like more, but I guess I’d like it to be faster but not too fast.

Guys thx for your suggestions, but I searched some lube videos in youtube. I want the feel of the cube to last long, so weight something lube will be suitable for me I guess.

Cubicle lubes are available in the cube store in the place I live, but there’s only weight 4 and 5 for weight something ones. I think I’ll choose weight 4 as I don’t want my cube to be too slow.

To speed the cube up a bit more, I would like to choose another silicone lube (should be long-lasting), max fleet.

May I know if weight 4 and max fleet match? Thx!

those are heavier weight lubes that would probably slow your cube down. idk much about max command or fleet but speedy lubes would probably be mystic, lubicle speedy, and angstrom dignitas. (idk about scs lubes at all)

also recently my rs3m 2020 was slowing down even after adding light lubes so i cleaned it out and now it's speedy again

I have 10 mL of GAN lube, 3mL of DNM-37, 3mL of Nebula, 3mL of Martian, 3mL of Lunar, and 3mL of Galaxy, and was wondering what the best combination of those would be. Some additional info is that I've already put 2 drops of GAN lube into the cube, but that's about it.

entirely personal preference. i believe the gan 12 is very light and snappy? if you want to speed it up or slow it down, well use light or heavy lubes. I think martian is a medium viscosity lube that makes the turning more soft, but i'm more familiar with cubicle lubes

You want something that you think would complement the cube and make it better for you. What do you think the cube needs?

Well, excuse me, but people have questions about lubricating puzzles, and the best place to do it is an-indeed 10 year old thread. We are not responding to 1 question, but are asking questions about our own problems as well.

When lubing a cube with Gravitas and Dignitas, how should lube-order go? And are they good for big cubes?

Angstrom setups are not best for anything over 4x4 in my opinion. I always put gravitas first, then break in, then I apply dignitas. After you break that in you generally have to put a somewhat fast lube like dnm or mystic because the angstrom lubes slow it down quite a lot.

DNM, Mystic, Lubicle-1... I would recommend getting a good amount of DNM and Mystic, like 10cc each.
If you want to go speedcubeshop, go with Lunar and Weight 4. Maybe a bit of stardust if you like a challenge want a good speed for the cube.

Can someone explain to what goes into water-based lubes such as DNM-37 and silicone based lubricants such as Silk? I tried making my own water-based lubricant, but I probably achieved something like maru that doesn't last a while. I want something either like Stardust that hardens into a smooth feel or DNM-37 that has special components that allow it to retain moisture from the atmosphere and make it able to last longer.

I am looking for a new cube lube. I am trying to make my Yuxin Little Magic 3x3 a little faster and I am currently looking at different types. Which one should I get?
