I don't want to know, what specifically i have to practice, I just want to get the following question answered.

Does pure solving improves you?

Sounds like a stupid one but after 7 Months, I'm around 18 secs. I'm not stucked or something, I just wanted to knew if it would be better to train something specifically or to do as much solves as possible.
ATM i do around 100 3x3 solves daily.
I've done nothing but spam solves and learn algs for 10 months and dropped from 18 seconds to ~10.4 seconds and the algs didn't help that much.

Try it and see what works for you. This question comes up repeatedly and there are always a few that say "spamming solves worked for me". It's not really surprising that lots of practise makes you faster. A better question would be whether they would have improved more quickly with targeted practice? Nobody knows.

If you know you have a specific weakness then targeted practice makes sense. If your cross takes you 10 moves in 4 seconds, learn to do it better - don't just keep spamming bad crosses in the hope that you'll improve.

You can compare this to many other activities in life. If you're a tennis player and your serve sucks, practice your serve. Some casual players will say they don't care, practising serves is boring and they'd rather just play loads of games. Of course that's fine if that's what they want to do, but I bet you Federer or Djokovic never trained that way :).

How should i work on taking less moves for my cross?
Look at reconstructions of fast solvers on cubesolv.es. Also Google JARCS and study some optimal solutions for ideas. Optimal isn't always fastest as it might not be finger friendly, but the idea is to study all the different ways you can solve multiple cross pieces at once and build up a portfolio of tricks.

Or go to CS Timer.net, scramble your cube and hit on TOOLS, if will appear in bottom right. Select the drop down menu and then select solve cross. I didnt use this. Just look at the cross and try to solve it fewest moves possib;e. Once you are doing this make your cross more finger trick friendly. Also, crosses should be less than or equal to 8 moves.

For further reference, visit mark. He was the one who helped me get to where I am so he is better at these stuff than me :) Thanks Mark :D

I am now averaging 17, I guess I'll just hit algs and tps. 4 more PLL's and 57 OLL's. Is there anyway to improve your turning style? I'm very smooth during F2L except for L moves and LL is just plain horrible. I think that since I am doing F2L in 7.5s on average, I need to learn all the algs and I second shave on cross could help.

Didn't you say you're bored of speedcubing? Lol anyway I have the same problem with turning style. I think what you could try is not going as fast as you can, but as smooth as possible and slowly build up speed.

Here are my spreads:
F2L+cross- about 15-20
OLL (2-look)- about 1-5
PLL (Full)-about 1-3
These include recognition for OLL and PLL
So wha should i work on? I know f2l, but anything else? I average about 20-30 seconds.

If those splits are really accurate I'd say definitely you need to improve F2L + cross. Your OLL and PLL seem to be good enough for sub-20 if you just get your F2L+cross down to 12 seconds. Anyway, the upper values do not add up to 30 seconds so maybe there's some more things going on.

If you could record a video with an example Ao5 or so and post it in the Solve Critique thread we could help you a bit more, e.g.: to see if the problem with F2L is because too much cube rotation, poor lookahead and pauses, etc.

here are my spreads for a scramble i just did
F2L+cross-23.17
OLL(2-look,VHLS)-2.66
PLL-3.05
These include the recognition time. My look-ahead is horrible, so I need to work on that, as well as my cross.
Should i work on my LL as well, or no?
I do occasionally get sub-20 times, about 1 in every 10-15 solves.

With those splits I think you should work on F2L and lookahead. Your LL is fine for sub-20 already.

That's about what my LL is (if not faster) and I average 16.
