Hey guys. I'm gonna go in a comp in a couple of weeks and I want to learn a few easy one look pll's. I'm learning heaps of oll cases so I don't want the pll's to be to hard and a brain over load. Something I can learn quickly and will shave my time down by a few secs. I average 30 seconds. Thanks.

y perm : F, T-perm except with the first 4 moves at the end, F'
F-perm : R' U' F', T-perm except with a U at the end instead of an F', R
J-perm : T-perm except with the last four moves at the beginning

Thanks guys. I average about 10-12 seconds for f2l. And I do f2l intuitively. Should I learn some f2l algs to shave that time down? Or should I continue getting better at it intuitively?

Learn algs for some harder cases that you feel you're doing badly, but overall use intuitive F2L. Play around with different ways to pair pieces up and just practice not stopping while turning.

Thanks mate. I'll try and learn some algs for the harder f2l cases because I still pause sometimes and it's so annoying

Hey guys,

got an odd question/request. I’m a magician, and I have an idea for a really cool trick using a Rubik’s cube.... but I’ve hit a road block. After countless hours working on this, I thought it would be wise to ask the speedcubing community for a solution.

rather than attach photos, I’ll describe where I am at in notation, so you can follow along:

Start with a solved cube, with the white face facing you, and the blue face on top, then do the following: R, U’, D’, R, R(wide)

ok, so my goal from this position is to solve the white face ONLY, as efficiently as possible while keeping the rest of the cube in a scrambled state. Obviously the most efficient way to solve the white face is to solve the cube, but I don’t want to do this. I also want to avoid solving the layer connected to the white face.

I do have a solution already, but I’m certain I’m using way too many moves... and I’ve been racking my brain to reduce the amount but I can’t.

Any suggestions or solutions are more than welcome... and I’ll keep working on it in the meantime, thanks!

Hi, Cubers.. I'm not an expert on Cube. I need to shorten an algorithm.

Its an algorithm to solve middle Layer edges. Actually 2 Edges in position but flipped.
I don't know if there is any algorithm for that solve, if there is please share.

I figured it out using one algorithm. now I need to cut it short.. Please Help.. no need to worry what happens in last layer..

(L2U2 F'L2F U2 LU'L) (R2U2 FR2F' U2 R'UR') (2 flipped edges are left and right)

Not short, but relatively fast: F (Rw U Rw' U')3 F'.

What I would do is Rotate the entire cube so that the two flipped edges are in the Upper Front and Down Front. Then do M‘ U’ M’ U’ M’ U2 M U’ M U’ M U2
Doesn’t look short, but it really is just M’ U’ lots of times with some U2s, and M U’.
(By the way, M moves follow L, so an M would bring the UF to DF. Fingertricks can be hard, but I recommend using the middle finger/ring finger to push it up or down (M or M’) from the D sticker of DB)
