Hello guys, few questions! How long does Maru lube affect? Does the cubes feel change after many separate lubing times (with Maru)? Does the cube feel uncontrollable after lubing with Maru?

The lube is good and make the cube very fast but the drawback is that it dries of quickly and leaves a white residue which is harmful to the cube!

Lubix or Maru Lube?

I bought 2.5cc of Lubix when I got my first speedcube a while ago, and my supply is running low. I'm planning on getting some more lube, but should I stick with Lubix or try another brand? I've hear Maru Lube is great, but I'm yet to try it. Also, if I stick with Lubix, should I get 5cc to save by buying in bulk or 2.5cc so that if I do end up switching brands, I wouldn't have lost much money (I'm still in school and I have a tight budget).

Think of Maru lube as steroids. Doesn't last long at all.

If you're on a budget I would go for 30k traxxas. Think Lubix but 10x more for a third of the price.

My budget isn't that bad, but it's just that my parents don't want me to buy lots of stuff in the same time period even if they're inexpensive. I guess I'll stick with Lubix since it has always served me well.

If you want to buy the same thing, but 1/5 less quantity, for more than double the price, go for it.

I need some lube for my cube and I want to get some from cubicle cuz imma get a cube from there what weight should I get for a weilong and zhanchi

But many people say that there is no difference in speed when lubing with weight 4 or 5 in the core. What's going on?

might be a differnt cube that has a larger tolorance between the center piece and screw, you could be using too much, you could have got some kind or particles in it thats making it gum up. there are alot of things that could be it but just use a lighter weight. also that may just be how your friends like it.

Hmm...I did find that The Cubicle sells "Assorted Regular Silicone Lube" for much less. How does it compare with Lubix, and what weight should I get for the same feel.

its just as good or better then lubix. i have the regual stuff that the cubicle sells. i think its weight 3 so i think lubix would be between 3 and 4.

So should I just buy a weight 3? Many reviews said you should buy a weigt 5 for the core and a weigt 1 for the pieces.

weight 1 is like water. just buy the blue lubicle, its a little thinner (and i really mean just a little) then Lubix. it works just the same, use it for both pieces and core. but im pretty sure weight 3 is the same as the regular lubicle.

I mean the Blue Lubicle and Lubix are both the same price, so then why would I choose it over Lubix? And are you saying that Weight 3 Assorted = Blue Lubicle = Lubix? Because if that's the case, then the W3 Assorted wins there since it's only 5 dollars compared to the 10 for the other two.

What is good lube that is easily accesible (a.k.a available at hardware stores/can be purchased without online shopping)

Denso Silicone Oil (use originally for clutch pads in cars)

cost roughly 85 pesos phil currency.. can be found on auto supply hardware.
dont use too much. or else the zhanchi will be too gummy.

i lubed my core with this. all puzzles with this
put too much = gummy
put little = alright

it says on the label its silicon oil
i need research on this. i tried on my zhanchi, it is great as long as you let it try first.
