Thanks Wassili, but I can not even guarantee having valvoline becasue it is in another city, so can you point out what to avoid? (in silicon spray category of course)

avoid WD 40. Your best bet for silicon spray lubes are CRC heavy duty silicone or jig a loo. Basically avoid petroleum based lubes. Might want to read THIS for more detail.

It might actually be easier to get differential oil if you have some hobby stores near you. Anything between 10k and 50k seem to be really good in speed cubes.

What is the best/fasted way to clean silicone(lubix) out of a cube?

It is a 5x5 so there are a lot of pieces. I don't have any extra stickers so i can not use the usual methods.

Wipe them 1 by 1 (with a towel/paper towel). I dont know if washing them actually does anything. + I've tried it and I can only say that waiting for the pieces to dry after is something you do not want to do.

That is what I was afraid of. lol

However before I sticker a cube I put all the pieces in a water bottle with hot water and acetone at about a 85/15 ration and shake it for a few minutes. Cleans the pieces spotless.

hey guys,i was wondering if using water based lubes hurts the cube.
i bought a dayan zhanchi, which is the only cube i will have for the next 2 or so years, and can't buy another one.but the cube seems to be loosening it self
i read that this is because of the core.
i use condom lube(serious),its the only thing i got that works well.is it safe to use with plastic?
