Not that I want some, but I was wondering what weight Rubik's speed lube would be, I want to compare to see what weight I should buy.

Where should I lube the washer? Should I lube the bottom of the washer (where it touches the bottom) or the top (where the spring touches it) or both?

I use theCubicle's DNM-37 piece lube, but it doesn't last for more than a day. I tried two drops at first, then 3, then 4, then 5, but the smooth feeling still doesn't last more than a day. What am I doing wrong?

i just got my fist sub 50 and i'm starting to get serious about cubeing so i would like to know whats the best speed cube and lubes

The top cubes are The Valk, Gans 356 Air and the Weilong GTS2. Look up reviews for these 3 and see which one you like better. If you don't want to spent that much money get a MF3RS.
I'm pretty sure he was asking what's the best lube.
I'd suggest getting some maru and some silicon based lube (traxxas, cubicle, speedcubeshop...)

Hey guys, I wasn't sure if this was supposed to go in the lube thread because it isn't about what kind to buy or anything so I figured I'd put it here.

When I lube my Gans UM, I just put a little on an edge and a corner and then mix it around. However, watching videos about lubing I see that you're supposed to put some in the core, where you pull the little thing out that is attached to the core and goes back in when you release it (sorry that's worded terribly, I'm not really sure how to describe it). But on the UM there's nothing there to pull out, so I don't know how to lube the core or if I'm even supposed to.

There also seems to be lube inside the centre caps when I open those. Am I supposed to put lube in there?

Thanks

I could explain but you'd be better off watching tutorials on youtube
That's the thing though, as far as I can tell there are no tutorials using the UM and the core on the UM seems to be different than the cubes in the tutorials I've seen. Are there any videos you'd recommend?

I don't think so. The GES is designed to not need lube from my understanding. I have never put any lube in my core, and it shouldnt be an issue. The main reason people will put lube in the core is to cut back on the spring rubbing against the screw and washer, creating spring noise. But the GES prevents that from happening. The only thing the spring touches is slick plastic. So you should be good :). Let me know if you have any questions!

I have never lubed my cubes before and I have always wanted to. I'm stuck on weight 2 or 3. Can anyone help me choose one of those and what they feel like so I can fit it to my personal likings. Also, is there a difference in between Traxxas or just normal Cubical lube. Thank you!

Hi! Depending on the mechanism of the cube it is good to lube the core (i.e. the screws and washers) if you are doing that a heavier lubricant is better like Traxxas or Cubicle weight 4 or 5. Traxxas 50k is similar to weight 5, and Traxxas 30k I think is similar to weight 4.
For just lubing the pieces a lower weight lube like 1 or 2 is good. Weight 3 isn't good for much IMO - I can never make it work well.
Also consider getting Lubicle speedy or DNM-37 to just give your cube some speed from time to time.

Recently, I've been thinking the 50k is too slow for my liking and want the cube a little bit fast, should I get 30k or 10k. People have been saying 50k makes the cube fast but sadly, it makes it slower. Also does 30k even make the cube fast or just smoother?
