well, I use this 90ml of teflon silion grease for 15$

It is tricky to apply without a seringe though, but you can just dip a tooth pick in the tube and butter on...

Oh dammit. I bought WD-40, but silicon based. They have a silicon based WD-40. Wonder if that works?
EDIT: Nope. It does NOT. For the cube to be faster, you need to wipe 80% of the lube off. Even then, the corner cutting is buffeted. My AoLong no longer cuts 45, and reverse no longer 1 cubie. Damn. Gonna be wiping the remaining 20% off. Then I'm gonna put Maru on, as my main lube.
EDIT: Actually, if you break it in and then put the Maru on, everything is good.

Lubing my Moyu Aolong v2 enhanced?
Hi!
I recently purchased a Moyu Aolong v2 enhanced, and I am thinking about lubing it. I found out that I have some WD-40 silicone spray in the garage. Is that safe to use as lube? Will it "eat away" my cube? Will it break my cube?
Btw, I cannot, in anyway, purchase lube like lubix, cubicle lube,etc.

I'm a slow improver but also a bit stubborn so, with lots of practice I'm slowly becoming better. At the time of writing this my PB Ao100 is a bit under 22sec, just in case you read this in some months and my signature says otherwise by then ;-)
This week I changed my main from a relatively fast, Maru-lubbed Chilong to a somewhat slower Sulong lubbed with thecubicle silicone weigth 3 (pieces). Both have the core lubed with wt 5.
I find this change is helping my times a bit. The effort needed to turn is higher but not too hard and I find it much more controllable. I'm thinking of lubing the pieces of the Chilong with silicone as well and see how it results but perhaps I should use a lower weight, like 2 (I think weight 1 is gonna be too fast for me).
Another issue is that Maru lasts less and less in my cube. Not sure if it is losing its properties or what but I have to apply almost every day. It's been some months (like 8 to 10) since I opened the bottle. So, in a day the cube goes from super fast with 2 drops of Maru to quite locky as the effect wears off.
What would you recommend?

i would probably make one video though.since i lubed it i have washed it 5 times but it doesnt bring the feel that i got from the box.recently i did a mod on the cubed by sanding the corner and edge pieces.well its my first cubed since i played years ago,so i try experimenting on this weilong.i might get an aolong v2

Hey! I was wondering which type of lube (other than Maru or Rubiks.com lube) makes cubes fastest? I tried Cubicle Weight 1, but it still feels kinda slow when I put it in the cube.

I would prefer speed over control. I have a Huanying (Main), Dianma, Guanlong, and the Guhong v2 is in the mail.
May I ask what difference will it make if I get 30k or 50k?

Maru lube is only good for the pieces. If you lube the core with it it will dry in a week or so and you will have to do it all over again, in the case the Maru does anything to the core, which I cannot tell.

So you want a lube similar to speedy and closest to regular? Weight 2? Cuz weight 3 is regular, and w 1 is speedy.
I guess i had a typo. I saw a video that said weight 1 was faster than speedy. I wanted a lube closest to regular and didn't mean to write speedy. so weight 3. Thx

No problem. I saw that vid too: paradox cubing right? I asked on the cubicle's thread and they said speedy is faster and more runny than w1.
