I have only SS, Dayan, Moyu brands, and the lube is working quite the same on all of them. Maybe a little better on Moyu, and I say that, because my WeiLong responds good to a lot of lube types, but trust me it's nothing special.

If you are curious then just buy Z-Lube and see for yourself how it's working. It isn't too expensive, and even if you wouldn't like it you can use it as a secondary lube or something like that.
 
Does anyone have any experience with NIGRIN Silicone Spray? I just sprayed my 1$ cube that couldnt even move (not even joking, it was stuck), and now its even faster than my ChiLong.

Can i in any case mess up something with my ChiLong? Thanks.
 
If the silicone helps your 1$ cube it must be corrosive. Don't put any in your speed cube before testing it( putting a bit of it on the inside of a center cap and wait until it dries to see if it damages your cube's plastic)

I had no answers 4 hours after ive asked the question, so i decided to experiment. I did the standard silicone spray procedure, and it worked out pretty nicely! It says on the bottle that its going well with plastic, and that turned out to be true. I just disassambled both of the cubes and theyre not being damaged.

I guess that we can claim this as an success story with NIGRIN Silicone Spray + ChiLong.

Hey man, when using calvins just only put a small bit of lube on the surface of the cube. However, from my experience calvins lube does make cubes a bit gummy but not too much. You can only feel it when turning it slow but when speedsolving it is negligible. Just put small amounts of lube in it, then add more if you think it isnt enough :)

So my Zanchi is meant to be coming tomorrow (First speed cube - very exited :D) But i was watching some tutorials on lubing and they all recommended 'Lubix' is there any way I can get some to me in (lets say) 3 days (bearing in mind i live in the UK) or alternatively another substitute? I have some great silicone spray at the moment but i want some proper stuff for my (to be) main 3x3. Could you give me some suggestions or recommend some equally good lube? thanks :)

What about the cubicle 'assorted silicone lube'? It's cheaper than lubix, the same stuff and you can get it in a variety of weights.

Buy traxxas 50k from ebay. I'm from Belgium and they shipped very fast from the uk, so the 3 days won't be a problem for you. It's pretty much the same as Lubix, except it's a lot cheaper and you get more.
