for 3x3 I main the rs3m 2021, which is a pretty fast cube, so DNM-37 probably won't work, but I also don't want to slow it down a lot, so which lube should I buy for this?

i main the yj mgc 4x4 so which lube is good for this?

i dont really care about what lube in 2x2, but I'm thinking of upgrading to the MGC Elite so idk which lube is the best
for the rs3m, I would get silk, the mgc 4x4 is really good with mystic/celeritas(i use a celeritas mgc 4 as my main,) and the mgc elite feels best with weight 5 imo

yeah, the rs3m 2020 works really great with weight 3 idk about the mgc 4x4, i would say add dnm-37 and the cube stays fast
I would add that scs stardust would be better than DNM, as stardust has properties that makes it last a lot longer than DNM. I will probably buy stardust myself once I am close to running out of DNM

Any source that provides factual proof to this? I would not consider SCS a reliable source unless they have proof.

Is it possible to lube the core without fully taking apart the screws? I would like to lube the core of my tornado v3, but I don’t want to mess up the tensions. Currently I’m just using the built in screw depth number system. From almost everything I’ve seen, you must take it apart fully, but I did see one video to suggest otherwise.

This is just a quick and easy thread to show what lubes we use for the core and pieces. You can reply what lubes you use, and what you recommend to each turning style.

Lube I use
Core - Traxxas 50k r Wt. 5
Pieces - Wt. 3, Lubicle Silk, and DNM-37 to refresh the pieces
I want to know if I should use core lube that is fast or slow and for pieces, I use lunar from speedcubeshop.com

Hey so I love big cubes but still not sure how to lube them. I have a weight 3 lube(cubelelo classic) and a weight 1(cubelelo hurricane) and I was thinking of buying silk and dnm 37(because I've heard that dnm is great for big cubes) will these work or should I buy a weight 5 instead of silk??

when you put lubes that come in a bottle in you cube, does it get on the tracks?
do you need specific lubes that come in an injector to lube your tracks?
is it important for your tracks to be lubed?

Please refer to the thread I linked in the future. Lubing the tracks is recommended but as with any lubing not essential. If bottled lube goes on the tracks I don’t know if it does and either way it doesn’t matter. There are lubes that are purposed for the tracks but there is some flexibility

I am trying to setup my yj mgc 6x6, and now the first and second layers feel pretty good, being fast and smooth, but the inner layers feels very bad. The turning of the inner layer feels heavy, sluggish and not as easy to turn as the first 2 layers. Below are the lubes that I have, which are dayan lube, gan lube, QiYi lube and moyu lube (I don't have money to buy premium lubes). How should I setup the inner layer of my yj mgc 6x6?

hi, i have a question, what process do people usually use for lubing a 3x3 these days? like, what kind of lube would you use for the core, screws, washers, what would u use for the other surfaces, etc ? cus last time I set up a cube was like six years ago and i just used traxxas for the whole thing and it seems like ppl dont do that anymore

Or is that the problem of the mgc 6x6 that the inner layer of mgc 6x6 just sucks?

i just got my moyu 6x6 and 7x7 wrms, came totally unlubed from speedcubeshop. i've been out of the cubing scene for a bit so i have literally no idea what or how to lube my big cubes -- can anyone recommend something? I'm not looking to get fancy with mixing 3 premium lubes and all that, just looking for a simple and good way to lube it. Perhaps DMN-37 from the cubicle is good enough? They currently feel really dry and scratchy

i would reccomend you to buy some Weight 5 to apply in pieces, core and tracks and some silk and dnm.

first you need weight 5 to apply on the core, then apply some Weight five or angstrom gravitas on the tracks, finally put some silk and dnm on the pieces and you are done
